Needed an air pump to fill up my double end bag but didn't want to spend a lot of money on since I don't have much use for them so I found this online. Shipped to the store and I picked it up. Works great. It will come in useful as a tire pump if I ever get a bike one day.
Worked better than I expected; and although I have used it just a couple of times, it fells like it will work fine long term too.
I have boys so we needed a pump that was quick and easy to use. This one fit our needs and is so easy to use
Its great for the price, love the compact size - i bought it for airing up my kids balls not for bikes but it was great price just to have a mini one...great storage for the needle so it doesnt get lost. Pumps balls up easy and quickly
I have one of these already at my house, I've had it for about three years, i DO NOT recommend it for bikes, i suggest a pedal pump they work better (Yes, its more money but trust me, i know what I'm going on about). This pump is for Balls, Soccer, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, those kinda balls, it does work on those cheap plastic ones for like 4 year olds, the Disney ones, and such. Again DO NOT buy this for a bike, the housing in the head doesn't sturdily hold the mouth of the valve on a bikes tire, i tried it once, never again, that's why i recommend using a pedal pump, or a two action/ valve/ chamber pump (there are many meanings for the same thing). I REALLY hopes this helps everyone! Later!
People who complain about the size of this pump miss the point. This is an emergency pump to carry on the bike in case of a flat. At home one should use a floor pump. It works fine, weighs little, and pumps up any tire, given time and patience. One negative: the bracket that attaches the pump to the bike frame (via the braze-ons) broke off on mine after three years (and several thousand miles), and the pump went flying. I was able to recover the pump, but there's no place to buy a replacement bracket. So now I've changed over to compressed air cartridges. V. Light, cheap and ultra quick.
This is a nice small pump. mount did not come with screws nor would it fit on my bike as it was, but I was able to install it with wire ties.
Too small and light, thus hard to position and it needs a hundred (fast and furious) pumps to fill a bike wheel.
In simple, I just bought a 26" bike from Walmart, and I needed a bike pump. I would definitely recommend a bigger pump if you don't want to be at it all day pumping the tire simply because a pumps so small can only pump so much air into a tire at a time. Its better for things like basketballs that don't require so much air. Does it work? yes. Is it worth it if you dont mind spending five more dollars for a stand up pump? No.
Don't listen to reviews before me, unless you own a 10 speed and/or basketball, don't buy this pump. For the fatter tires, like mine, the pump recoils from the pressure and makes it difficult to operate. I couldn't inflate a BMX bicycle. I would spend the $10 more and check that it is designed for pumping bicycle tires and invest it. You will be a lot happier to have something more reliable on the road in case you get in trouble out there.
