Ordered two on sale during cyber Monday. Walmart shipped quickly and then FedEx held them hostage for two weeks. I was expecting the reason was because they were on a roll and bulky. Um, no. The boxes were smallish and the interior packaging the size of a large briefcase. So weird but they are gorgeous! I am thinking of purchasing a third for my foyer. On the thin side but would need to be since they are washable. Flattened out quickly and look great in our workplace, second office. I bought them to help anchor the desks in the room and help with sound absorption. Large enough where a rolling chair stays on the carpet along with the desk.
I don't know where to start. We needed this rug. We bought our home over a year ago and slowly we have been decorating. To finally have a place of our own we have been so particular about avery nook and cranny. This rug was much needed and is absolutely just perfect. The rug was for our dining room, we wanted it to match our decor but it took us so long because its in the dining room which means food will be dropped on it! Not to mention we have a very messy silly toddler so choosing a rug was very difficult. The design on this rug was beautiful but I don't think I would have gotten it until I realized it was washable! Washable rugs! What a world to live in!!! So this rug is actually very thin but its still nice and heavy and I noticed that this rug has a nonslip bottom so I don't need to even bother with a liner. If you need to wash it all you have to do is toss it in the wash and you're fine. When I recieved it after shipping it was folded so we had minor creases however they flattened right out. We have hardwood floors so in addition to how nice looking this rug is it also helps protect our hardwood floors. I can not reccomend this enough!
This area rug looks and feels fabulous! I ordered this abstract color mostly because I have a furbaby shedder. Her hair will blend in nicely. I like the fact that this rug is very easy to clean, no long thick carpet. I haven't needed to wash it yet but it's nice to know I can. It feels just as awesome as it looks.
I love this rug. Seriously. Of course it isn't plush or soft, but it does feel nice and smooth under your feet. I have white tile and was constantly spot cleaning my kitchen floor. Not only is this rug beautiful and dark, it's WASHABLE. It hides those little kitchen drips perfectly, and it's easy to throw in the washer once a week. It's been a total sanity saver, with 2 kids, 3 pets, and a husband who's as messy as the 5 of them combined. Bonus points, i didn't have to fight with the corners trying to roll up for weeks/months like I have some other rugs. It laid flat pretty much right away!
I am SUPER excited about this rug! I'd been seeing so much hype about the washable rugs and wanted to try them out for myself. The rug arrived not in a roll like I'm used to but folded up neatly in a square. I was surprised how lightweight the rug was but figured it would have to be super thin and flimsy in order to fit into a washing machine. After I unfolded it, I smoothed out as many wrinkles as possible and most of them came out. It's now been two weeks and they are all gone! I was expecting the rug to slide and bunch up easily on the floor but I was wrong- the underside has somewhat of a grippy texture so it stays put on both hardwood floors and carpet. The material on the top side of the rug is really soft, almost like a thick fabric. I love how the design is neutral enough to fit in with any decor, and also "busy" enough to conceal any stains or debris on the floor. While I haven't had the need to wash it yet, I believe even at its large size I can stuff it into a washing machine just fine. I had planned to use this in my craft room but am now thinking a perfect use for this would be our RV! It is lightweight enough and folds easily for storage between trips. And having the ability to wash it after a vacation- perfect! Overall, I am SO HAPPY about this rug and am actually considering replacing all of mine in the house with this brand as I love it so much.
You sure won't notice if this rug gets a stain or two. Very unique pattern that I'm sure will not show any dirt, discoloration or light stains. It has a rubber backing to keep it from slipping around, but it's a thin scatter rug - not much fiber over the backing. It says "washable", but I wouldn't try that in a home-size washer. 5x7 is a large chunk of latex backed rug to throw in your washer. I'd recommend washing it in a large machine at a laundromat. Hosing it down in the driveway would be another option.
The Better Homes and Gardens Abstract Area Rug, Washable, Neutral, 5'x7' has been a great addition to my living room! It's the perfect size to go in front of my couch because I like have a rug to step onto off the couch versus the hardwood floors. The rug is a thin material so it doesn't offer softness but it allows there to be a barrier between you and the hardwood. I love that it is washable, which is probably why it's thinner, as I have multiple dogs and need to be able to wash my rugs. Overall I'm very pleased with this rug, I do just wish it was a bit thicker/softer.
This 5x7 area rug attractively combines an abstract pattern with a neutral palette ranging from grays and tans to light browns and ivories. There’s almost no color scheme it wouldn’t fit into. The stitching along the edges appears to be consistent and the quality is what I have come to expect from the brand. That being said, this washable rug is missing some features that I’m accustomed to with regular area rugs. Number one is it arrived folded up instead of rolled. It’s been a week that it’s been on the floor and I still can’t get the folds out of it. The carpet is very thin and though it has a rubber backing, it tends to travel because it doesn’t have any weight to hold it down. Then again, I have it over carpet. This may improve if it was on hardwood or tile. When you walk across it barefoot, it feels like rubber or plastic—much like those outdoor carpets you would put on your patio. There’s no pile so it’s not soft, but it makes it easier to keep clean. It vacuums like a dream so you could use it in high traffic areas, in the dining room or even in the kitchen since you can either spot clean it or gather the whole thing up and throw it in the wash if it gets really dirty. It’s not rigid so you should be able to easily fit it in a front load washer. I’m not exactly sure what settings or temperatures are required for wash or dry since there were no instructions included. A little guidance in that department would be helpful so it doesn’t get damaged. I think for the right location, it would work well, but it’s just not for me.
Online this is touted as "blissful", "tufted" and "cozy" though it is not what I'd call a tufted, cozy rug. It's almost a quarter inch thick and oddly plastic. By that I mean I think I'd mop it rather that vacuum it. It's not a rug you'll roll around on with your kids or dogs as it isn't that comfy. I put it in my home office and the dog's nails make the same sound on the rug as they do on my hardwoods, scratchy! Now it's okay for me as dog hair will come off this thing like a dream, that's if the vacuum doesn't ingest it due to it's light weight. Now granted the rug specifics state to spot clean only but that could be said of a Berber or any other rug. Now a spill will clean up like a dream as well as I'd imagine liquids will not penetrate this rug. It is an attractive design and I'm sure it'll hold up well. Just know what you're getting and laying hands on this in the store would also be smart. I'd like to add, this will work well under desks with rolling chairs as there is little resistance.
i bought this one to match one i had already bought. the first one has a silky texture. the 2nd had the same identification on it so i ordered it but it is a rough texture more suited to outdoors or an entry way. both do stain easy. they are easy to wash in a machine with no center spinner.
