Better Homes & Gardens 19-Cup BPA-Free Airtight Cereal Container with Easy-Grip Handle

It was one of the few press to open which was easier than some of the others. Indented sides give a good grip when picking it up. I like the Better Homes %26 Garden brand. They seem better quality. It fits in our cabinet. Some of the others were too tall.

Loving my new cereal containers so far! I have had these for a short time now but, so far they are doing their job. My cereal stays fresh longer. I don't have to worry about constantly having to throw cereal away too soon once it's opened. The lids are super easy to use and open. No more having to snap the lid down like my older ones.

i really wanted to like this. i bought two of these, and the same thing happens on both. when i'm done pouring my cereal from the containers, and go to close the lid, it stays partially open. i have to click the lid a couple times or click the "click to open" section of the lid, then reclose it in order for it to actually close completely.

I liked the look of this cereal container and the price. But when I got it, I realized it doesn’t pop open easily. Its design is also poorly that when you wash it, water gets into the lid that doesn’t just come out easily. I ended up donating it after I got it fully dry. If you don’t ever need to wash it, that may not be a problem. But also, it takes some force to make it pop open.

I ordered two of the these and reading the description online they seemed like they were going to be just what I needed to keep my cereal fresh in an easy to pour container. I washed them when I received them and besides being a weird unflexible plastic that could easily break I also realize there is a huge enclosed area on the lid that you cannot get to or fully see or reach to be sure it is clean and dry. So I am having to just let it sit and air dry for days and hope that it is fully dry and doesnt ruin my cereal. Issue number two is you have to press really hard to get it to open and once open the side you press to open many times gets stuck and even if it isnt stuck down you always have to try and try again and try again and sometimes many more times after those times to actually get it to fully close and stay closed. Last issue that I noticed is the stickers that say "push here to open" and states they are easy peel literally are the opposite. They peeled in tiny strips/pieces and left ALL of the sticky crap on the lid which I ended up having to use goo be gone to get it all off completely. I can say these are truly more of a pain to use than they are worth and I havent even put cereal in them yet. I will probably be forced to open the entire lid to get my cereal out which is not at all what I paid for so I will be looking for better containers for my cereal.

I was very excited to find this beautiful cereal container. It truly is attractive, and the indentations on the sides are very helpful for gripping the container. However, the press to open lid is very poorly designed. It is hard to push, and then it will not go back down correctly. When you do shove the opening down very hard to try to get it to seal, the side you’re supposed to press will not pop up. This means it’s almost impossible to seal the cereal again without a great deal of effort. I really wanted to like this, as it’s beautiful and the price was great. But I’ll have to stick with the old-fashioned design by another brand.

I've been picking up food storage containers by Better Homes and Gardens for about a year, and have been impressed by their quality and value. unfortunately, the cereal container uses a completely different seal system to keep it airtight-- and it's a big fail. I would return this, but it's not worth the time it will take.

Bought this with the intention of keeping pantry moths out my rice because I moved into a place with an infestation (which I was not warned about), and unfortunately for my my rice, money, and appetite, these containers have failed me, which surely stems from their poor design. For starters, just on their own with nothing in it, these containers are HEAVY and inflexible, so if you dropped one it would probably break. Secondly, the lid design is awful. It's bulky and takes up so much space because it full of so much empty space! And I will admit, when I looked at it I was skeptical, and combined with the weight, I considered returning them - now I know I should've. Not to mention the flip top lid doesn't open wide enough and is awful to clean. You just have to air dry and hope all the water's gone. It was really disappointed yesterday to want to make food after having not eaten all day, only to see that my rice that had been fine before was now full of moths.

I bought 3 of these because we have been battling ants in our pantry and the Raid ants traps are not dealing with the problem. I washed these containers per the instructions, closed them all the way, it gives a soft little click and the lid is completely flat... and the seal does not work. My 2 cereals and my 1 goldfish are completely infested, I have no idea how the ants are going through the seal if it's "sealed." I am returning these..

this canister is a nice size however, the lid leaves me disappointed. it doesn't seal. seems pointless to spend extra for a canister, designed to keep things fresh, that doesn't close properly. I don't recommend this item.
