I like to put a few drops of therapeutic grade essential oil on them and they leave my clothes smelling great. This is a cleaner alternative to dryer sheets. Trying to cut back on my family's exposure to chemicals.
I love it, but omg, everything is getting so expensive now a days.
I love that the wool balls help with wrinkles, less drying time
I love the fact the I dont have to use dryer sheets, and i can add essential oils to the dryer balls if i want some scent to my clothes. They help speed up my dry time as well.
These are priced well and are a great alternative to dryer sheets with lots of fragrance and wax.
Excellent results. Performs exactly as described. Very pleased.
They actually help dry what ever you put in the dryer. I don't use scent with them so don't know how that works but seems for those that want too it would work as well. Of course some people complain about the noise but there solid wool balls what did they expect?!?!?! Tennis balls are way louder and don't help dry but help fluff. Good for 1000 loads! We shall see
I had read online that these little wool balls helped dry clothes faster with no chemicals or overpowering scents. I have hard water so I'm always looking for products that help with laundry. Dryer sheets and softeners have a tendency to leave oily stains on my clothes which I don't notice until after the stain has set in with the heat from the dryer. These wool balls bounce around inside the dryer with the clothes and somehow they cause the clothes to dry faster with no overdrying that causes static cling. Supposedly some scented oils can be added to the wool balls. After the oil is aborbed and the ball is put in the dryer it releases a soft fragrance. I haven't tried this yet but curious to see if it works. Since groceries are getting more expensive I use a good detergent in cold water and add vinegar to either the wash for smelly clothes or to the rinse cycle to get every bit of soap residue rinsed out, or add vinegar to both cycles. The wool ball helps the dryer keep things separated while tumbling around inside which I guess is why the clothes dry faster. I did learn though that you need at least 6 wool balls for a big load. I definitely will keep using them.
I thought these would help to use less dryer sheets like my last set. They don't. But they do help dry faster.
These wool dryer balls appear to be of decent quality. I purchased them on sale, which was a good value.
