Better Homes & Gardens, 9-Piece Stainless Steel Gardening Tool Set

I haven't yet had the chance to get these tools dirty. They feel heavy duty and extremely durable but again... I haven't pitted them against Mother Nature yet. Frankly, I'm not sure what most of them are for - I've used the same 4 standard pieces of gardening tools for 15 years, they are rusted and bent so I requested replacements for Mother's Day and because I'm such a fabulous mom (and my husband is always 'extra') I got the Cadillac of replacements. The weight and feel of this set convinces me they will last at least 15 years, too!

This Spring will be my first time planting and this set provided everything I could imagine. The tools seem to have sturdy handles and all the items fit well in the pockets of a bag I bought separately. It looks as if I could weed, scoop dirt and make holes for seeds to be placed with these tools. It was a good price for a nice set for a beginner.

I really like the appearance of this tool set. The combination of wooden handles and brass accents makes it look quite attractive, resembling a much higher-end product. Considering the value, this set is excellent! I appreciate that it includes so many tools. It might have been nice to have a hole drilled for a strap for hanging, but I'm not sure if that would have taken away from the overall aesthetic, so I think it's fine as it is. So far, I've used the weeding tools, shovel, and pruners, and they have all performed very well.

This is a very nice quality garden tool set. The handles are made of nice quality wood. Easy to use and a nice variety of tools. Would recommend.

Let's start off by saying that I'm no metalurgist. So when I'm told the tools are stainless steel, I can see that they are, but I can't tell you what grade. But again, these are garden tools, not fine flatware for your table. The welds connecting the tools to the piece of steel rod that goes into the handle appear to be sound, but I'm not a welder, either. I've flexed them a few times to test the integrity and they seem solid. For my flower beds around my home, several of the tools will come in very handy, such as the twist cultivator, pruner, and trowel. The wood handles have a smooth finish, and appear to be oak. The brass collars are simply stamped into place. When a screw was used to assemble the tool, a dowel was placed in the screw hole and finished smooth with the handle. That's a nice touch. My only disappointment is that this is now November and winter is coming. But come spring when I plan my annuals and get my flower beds looking nice, you can bet these tools will be by my side. If I had another wish it would be for some type of bag for the tools, but that's not a dealbreaker in my eyes.
