This is a very, very bright bulb; even with the lamp shade placed onto the lamp. This bulb shines bright and stands out immensely. I placed it in the lamp on the end table in the living room. This light is brighter than and overhead light - but I really liked it a lot!

Perfect for reading and crocheting or watching tv. Light is fairly bright but not harsh or glaring. I like these light bulbs and wou recommend.

I am using these bulbs in pendant fixtures in my kitchen that have clear bubble glass globes so they are very prominently seen from all directions. These bulbs provide a great light for the kitchen, are not LED bright white color, they are a golden and very calming, but bright, and really set off the pendant lights perfectly. Great brightness, can be dimmed, so when dimmed and on with other lights in the house, they provide such a beautiful ambiance to the kitchen area. They really are gorgeous with the type of bulb they are and the light they put off. They'll last forever as well. Highly recommend.

I'm glad I decided to try these bulbs in my kitchen light fixture. They are nice and clear and take away that yellowish light we're getting from the white bulbs. These bulbs make everything so much brighter. And they look nice. I'll be changing out a lot of the bulbs around my house with these. The price and value are excellent.

The light bulbs by BHG are dimmable, they are 40watt and 310 lumens, its clear glass, bulbs last 13 years! Standard size and i lovd the way the inside looks and design gives off a white light, in a photo it'll show you the yellow normal bulbs to the brigness of this one, there great!
