Finally, a curtain rod that won't infuriate me to put up!!! I'm not the handiest person, but I get by. I bought two. It was extremely easy and looks great. I even used the insert guide to install higher than just at first option. I'm happy.

Easy to Install - nice matte silver like finish

This better homes and gardens curtain rod is so simple to use and install. The silver color makes it go with pretty much any curtain color. I am, however, a little disappointed that it seems like the ball shaped end pieces are made of plastic. It makes the curtain rod look a little cheesy. I also noticed that it looks like the paint is coming off a little. I would have liked the whole thing to be made of metal. The curtain rod itself is extremely easy to install. The brackets on each end turn so you can pretty much install it to any window/door easily. It also came with a guide so you can install it even with, but above the window/door. This curtain rod extends to around 10 feet give or take. This makes it a great curtain rod to put over a sliding door and with the center support bracket included there is no worrying about the curtain weight bending the rod. I love that this rod can either go on a standard window or a large one. The simplicity makes decorating a breeze. From the ease of use to the color this curtain rod has it all. I wish I had one for every window!

The Better Homes and Gardens Easy Install Cafe Window Curtain Rod with a Ball Finial is a simple and quick upgrade. My husband say that he appreciates the ease of installing this rod. It seemed to be pretty quick. It comes with wall mounts , which we didn't have to use. The placements of the screw holes were designed to where it made it easier to put the screws in. Normally the screws are placed in a horizontal position. But with this rod, they are installed vertically. This is what helped the ease of the installation. And as advertised no measuring was required. I haven't installed curtains as of yet, but I'm satisfied with this product. This rod has a nice finish. The rod is lightweight & medium to small in thickness. Has a small ball on the ends. It was easy to level. I'm all about quick & easy in this busy life. So I would definitely recommend this rod.

I ordered this “Better Homes” window curtain rod for a window that lets in too much sunlight, so it's replacing a rod that was flimsy and bent and will be covering a window that already has blinds on it, so as to cool off the room. From taking it out of the box to putting it up on the wall, it slides and is adjustable, so there really is no need to measure anything. The fact that the outside brackets fit on the corner of the windowsill makes it extremely easy to install. It's not really that heavy, but it feels sturdy, and the silver color is neutral enough to go in any room. The simple style is perfect for the room that it's being used in since it's in our home office. I like that they have guides and letters labeled on the ends to make installation easy. All in all, I would recommend it to anyone that needs a sturdy, yet simple curtain rod to cover an informal room. In my opinion, it is a good value for the price advertised.

This curtain rod is great because it is extremely easy to install. All you need is a drill and the screws that are included with the curtain rod. It took me only a few minutes to install with just lining each bracket on the wall next to the window molding and drilling two screws in each side. You can adjust the size of the curtain rod with just unlocking and pulling it out to your desired length. It comes with an extra support bracket for the middle of the window if you are using it on a larger window. The ends of the rod have a plain ball design which is simple yet looks great and nicer than a simple plastic curtain rod. I have light weight curtains hanging on it, but it is very sturdy and well made, it would definitely be able to support a heavier weight curtain. After installing and hanging my curtains on it I am very pleased with the way it looks and the stability of the rod.

I have the same round ball ones in one of my bedrooms at the present time. These finials hold up real well and are solidly attached to the curtain rod. Some curtain rods have finials that screw off from the rod. If you are not careful with these type finials they can easily fall off and break, if not tightened properly. This "Easy Install Cafe Window Curtain Rod-Ball Finial" is just like it says in the name. It is easy and very simple to install. There is no need for a measuring tape or a leveler. You simply adjust the brackets to the window frame and screw the brackets on each side into the wall. The rod is 5/8" in diameter and the rod adjusts from 48" to 120". There are complete instructions attached to the rod, along with the screws and the center mount. The instructions will also show you how you can customize the height of the rod and it's length. Let's say you want the window to look bigger and you want light to show against the wall (without blocking the glass). To achieve this look, you would extend the rod about 6" beyond the frame on both sides. If you trimmed your window frame in a modern decorative trim, or if you have stained glass or a glass panel hanging in that window, this same extension beyond the window frame would work.
