This blanket is more comfortable than I thought before i took it out of the bag. When i forst looked at it i thougjt it would be just a thin blanket, which it is but the texture is soft and looks bery nice paired with my bedspread. After washing and drying, the blanket held up very good with no pilling or strings hanging. It has a little bit of stretch to it which is good so if you pull on it it's not going to begin to tear like some other cotton blankets. I would recommend this nice blanket to anyone because of its texture and bright white color which would look good with any decor. I would suggest using it with any of the mainstays quilts which I also love. Like the wedding ring or shooting star patterns. Any of them would look great. The hem is sewn very well and looks like it will stay put wash after wash.
The blanket is true to size, bright white, love the color. Is thin, perfect for summer time nights you can use it alone or over your sheet. It looks very delicate because of the waffle look but you can put it in the washer and machine air dry. One thing that you need to be aware, this one is not intended to be use with pets because their claws can get stuck and damage the beautiful blanket. Where ever you use it it will bring you a house magazine look. (In the bed, or the sofa, chair, and or glide). I really like it!
This 100% waffle weave cotton blanket washed and dried very well. No pilling. Full/queen size fit a full size bed quite nicely. The blanket is comfortable and kept me warm. I didn't use another blanket with this, but it was summertime in Michigan and I did have my air conditioning set at about 75°. This would also be nice to use to cover up while you're just lounging at home and watching TV. I'm happy with the soft silver (gray) color. I'm sure I'll spend many hours covered up with this blanket! It's great that they give you a little bonus - a free one year Better Homes & Gardens magazine subscription comes along with this purchase!
This is a Better homes and Gardens Cotton Weave Blanket in artic white. This blanket came in just in time to try it out in a little cool spell here in Missouri. Its very soft and wasn't too heavy. It was very comfortable and didn't get hot at all. I love this blanket and can't wait to use it every night on my bed. I wondered how it would wash up. I washed it and dried it in the dryer and it turned out perfect. I washed it with a pillowcase to see if it transfered lint. It didn't, and didn't put out that much lint in the lint compartment of the dryer. This is a great blanket to have on your bed on chilly nights and I would recommend it.
I am so happy with this blanket! We have a couple thicker blankets that we use in the winter but are too hot for the rest of the year, and this is perfect for year round. It keeps me warm and cozy, but isn't heavy to where it makes me hot and sweaty. I really like the material; it's soft, but still holds it's shape on the bed. I've washed it twice and I can tell it's made well. There are no loose strings or threads unraveling after washing, and it's also easy because I just throw it in the dryer. I like the color too because it matches all of my comforters. Big thumbs up!
I have to say, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a summer bedspread. It is just the right weight for warm and hot weather. It covers the bed, mine is queen sized, perfectly. So, the size is true to the packaging information. You'll truly enjoy sleeping under this bedspread.
I like this blanket a lot. It is light but just the thing for covering up on a not so cold night. I like it if I am going to take a light nap, and I also like it now when it is warm out but I still need to cover up a little. It is quite light weight as you can probably tell by the pictures. I put it on my bed over my quilt and my quilt shows through a bit. It is kind of stretchy because of the waffle weave, but it is cotton so it may be a little different after it's washed. I have not washed it yet. I am very happy with it because as I said, it is light which is what I have wanted for a while, and I prefer cotton, which is what it is, so it is perfect for me.
The BH&G Cotton Waffle Weave blanket is nice. When I first opened the box, it impressed me with the fine yet insulating (waffle pattern does that!) weave of the blanket. I compared it with the most recent comparable blanket we purchased from Wal-Mart, and you can see from the picture that the weave is tight and shouldn't hook on things to pull threads out (unlike our latest blanket, which is pretty, but snags all the time). Also, one gets a coupon for a free year of Better Homes & Gardens magazine, which my wife and I both enjoy! However, after we washed the blanket, we tried to fold it up square... and had a real hard time with it. It just wouldn't fold easily. Finally, we realized the blanket itself does not have 90° corners! It is crooked (see picture)! So how do I rate this? It has a nice weave and seems durable. It is warm. Color is okay (more gray than "silver"). Comes with free magazine. BUT IT'S CROOKED! If it was straight, I'd probably rate it a "5". Oh well...
This is my honest review of an item sent to me for that purpose. The blanket in a beautiful pure white and is very soft. I washed it before use and it gets softer with washing. It has a little shrinkage after washing but not severe. My problem with it is is was very poorly cut and sewn. You may be able to tell from the picture. The edge is very crooked, uneven. This will make it not look good on the bed. Maybe it it's hidden at the foot of the bed you may get away with it but if you buy it you don't want to pay for an uneven edge.
Unfortunately I decided to wash this before using. It was a perfect size for me to use as a summer spread. I have a Queen size bed. It went almost to the floor all around. Well, I followed the directions on the tab for washing and drying and guess what? It shrank by about 12" all the way around. Very disappointed.
