I saw a set of plates similar to these down in New Orleans, and wanted them; but at $300 for service for 8, it just wasn't happening. So, I bought a service for 12 here at WalMart and it was only $111, shipped to my house! So far, so good; they have come out of the dishwasher well, and someone already thought they were the expensive New Orleans plates that we never did buy. Shipped to my house a full week earlier than expected; well-packed for travel. Only had them a week, but so far, so good!

I had bee. Looking at your competitors and basically had not checked Walmart. I did and you had in stock and it was a very pleasant experience. I will be shopping more. I live out in the extreme country areas and have to drive an hour to shop. Looks like I'll be checking Walmart home delivery first

I have my home decorated with fleur de lis', so the dishes were a perfect match. I even put some on display in my china cabinet. We will use them for the holidays and haven't actually used them yet, so I cannot advise on quality of use. However, they are very beautiful and impressive and definitely worth the cost. I searched everywhere before I found what I wanted and these dishes in comparison to much pricier department store dishes are a bargain! I am posting a photo, and although you cannot see it in the pic, the fleur de lis shows up clearly in the china cabinet on the plates and cups. They look beautiful.

After extensive research (Macy's, Sur La Table, Home Goods, Kohls, Crate and Barrel) and more than a year of shopping, I finally decided to try this less expensive dinnerware, simply because I loved the look. I absolutely love it. The finish is much easier to care for and weight and design are perfect. The fact that it was delivered free of charge to my doorstep, well in advance of the projected delivery date was icing on the shopping cake. I want to add dessert bowls and serving pieces but can't find them anywhere. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I bundled and got the eight piece setting for $70.00 and could not be more pleased. I searched for about a month and a half and finally decided to give these a try. I was a little hesitant given the price, but am so happy I ordered them. They are so pretty, and seem to be sturdy. I have been using them non-stop for over a week and have not had any problems so far. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, and would order more if needed.

Love the simple design of this dinnerware, saucer-like shape of the plates and the overall quality. I was only disappointed that the set did not include a smaller bowl option; the bowl included is large (think pasta) so isn't really interchangeable for cereal or small sides.

I loved these dishes. The quality is great, the design and look are also very nice. Here's the problem I had with them - the sides of the plate turn up significantly, so the actual serving area in the middle is not that big. At first I thought, well I can put the main portion of the meal (meat) in the middle of the plate and put the veggies along the sides. Then my husband pointed out the problem with that - if you have something juicy (corn, potatoes with gravy), the juice is going to run down into the middle of the plate. So back they are going. I'm really sorry to do it because I loved the design and look. They'd be great for stew!

bought this set about 15 to 20 years ago. looked to replace some lost pieces. found it here. super excited. very durable neutral in color goes with every decoration and season. super excited they still had available.

Plates came in good shape and are very attractive. Just today, though, I placed a large plate into the microwave and it broke right in half. I was quite disappointed with this but just be warned to keep heating time in the microwave to under 10 min.

I ordered this to take to a Sunday School Party, thinking it would match what I already had at home. The plates were actually smaller than those I had and the markings were not as pretty as the ones I owned already. I am very disappointed it didn't match. For those of you ordering for your first set...it probably will be okay. I had gotten my first set a year ago...may be best to get everything you want at one time, instead of waiting like I did.
