Better Homes & Gardens Metal Twin Daybed with Twin Trundle, Black

This daybed EXCEEDED my expectations! It arrived quickly, on time and get this... UNDAMAGED!!! Packaged carefully and I appreciate that. Building the bed was a breeze, directions all clear and easy for one person to do under an hour!!! Metal seems super strong and sturdy with all the pieces to lock into place. I am SO HAPPY with my daybed for our new office/guest room. Highly recommend!

This came in a huge and heavy box, w/ lots of parts. It was kind of daunting. I unpacked the box and took it piece by piece to the guest room. So that solved the heavy part. W/ projects like this, instructions are essential. You ID the piece on the instructions and if you're lucky the pieces are labeled somewhere. Which was the case here. Also the small parts were labeled clearly as well. The best part was that the bolts and allen wrenches where placed on a shrink wrapped piece of cardboard designated for each part of the trundle bed. Assembly was a pretty easy one woman job. Insert slot A into slot B etc. It took me about an hour. But that was mostly b/c I took frequent breaks and I got distracted by the TV. Once it was all together and everything was tightened, I threw and old mattress on it to try it out. Luckily, Spark Reviewer came thru w/ a mattress offer. My review of that mattress will be up shortly. I will order another mattress from Walmart. Anyhoo! The bed was nice and sturdy. The trundle bed rolls out easily and it was pretty sturdy too. Ideally this will be used for guests and not a every day bed. I think that if it was used as an every day bed, it would probably be better for a youngster.

Today I am reviewing a twin size daybed with a twin pull out trundle bed underneath.This item was produced and is sold by the Better Homes and Garden company. I selected this product because I have a small bedroom that I would like to use it in. This daybed is ideal for small rooms / areas in your house. It can be used for extra seating as well as 2 twin size beds for sleeping. It has a modern metal motif and when made up with a coverlet and throw pillows, it becomes a very fashionable piece of furniture. Whether you are doing homework, or watching television, or entertaining a friend it is comfortable and serves those purposes. Now when it is time to sleep, simply turn the coverlet back to expose the mattress and remove decorative pillows if necessary. Now what was once a seating area becomes a twin size bed for a good night's rest. The Better Homes and Garden, Twin Daybed with Trundle is most attractive. It's frame is made of strong, solid metal and comes in 2 different colors, white or black. The mattresses are NOT included and can must be purchased separately. The top mattress should be 8" wide and the bottom one should be 6" wide. The daybed as well as the trundle were made with metal slats for the mattresses support. The metal straps not only provide the necessary support, their design lets air move under the mattress. This in turn allows the mattress to draw in the air for a cooler nights sleep. It also helps to keep the mattress fresher. The trundle fits neatly under the daybed and could be used to store appropriate items under the bed, should you need more storage room. Say, for instance, clothes, small toys, papers, and bed linens. This piece of furniture is versatile and serves more than one function. It is small but sturdy, not only a couch but also a bed, and a sleek modern design that is affordable not expensive. I am so happy to own the Better Homes and Garden Twin Daybed with Trundle. I am going to enjoy all of it's features and use it for guests whenever the occasion(s) occurs. I feel that I can recommend this product with complete assurance that the buyer will be just as pleased as I am.

This bed is gorgeous. I have shown pictures of the bed set up to my family and friends and everyone thinks it is contemporary and modern. It has a sleek design and is a good quality. When the box arrived it was very big and heavy. I inmediately opened it and took out all of the pieces and was intimidated because it came with many pieces and with not one, but two boxes for setup. However, I read the instructions which were well illustrated and easy to follow. I set it up in half an hour. It was easy to set up. I had no prior experience and did not encounter any problems. It comes with extra pieces and the instruction manual provides a number to call for help but it was not necessary. I definitely recommend this bed. I was able to put my twin mattress on it and slept well from day one. It saves space and is a great piece to decorate any room. I am very pleased with this Better Homes and Gardens Black metal Daybed.

Bought this for a guest room. I love it. It was really easy to put together and seems sturdy. Perfect size. The trundle rolls easily on a carpet. Great bed, especially for the price.

I love this bed, it's beautiful in my office. The only downside is one of the pieces had a small dent in the metal, which is not noticeable. My husband didn't find it difficult to put together it may have taken an hour, if that.

The daybed is very well constructed and easy to assemble by one person. I'm a 67 year old female and I put the bed together (including trundle) once, disassembled for moving and put back together in the new place. My twin mattress fits perfectly and the bed is stylish, sturdy and exactly what I was looking for. Tools required for assembly are included AND they also include extra screws and snap in pieces in case you need them.

This daybed is a wonderful addition to my family room. Its design is not the basic bars you get with most daybeds. It is not little kid safe. My 4-year-old daughter can fit through some of the squares, so if you have daredevil children in your house this may not be the daybed for you. It took about 90 minutes to put together because I had a little helper. I’m sure it would have taken less time if she wasn’t “helping”. I like that the sides and back were in large pieces and did not have to be assembled like some other daybeds have you do. I don’t think I could have managed with my helper. The trundle was also easy to put together. It only took about 20 minutes. It doesn’t have rails or anything that would hold that mattress on. The mattress just sort of sits in a recess. I prefer the trundles with the small rails but this is okay. It fits perfectly underneath the daybed with nothing hanging out. When the bed is made you can not tell it’s under there. The bed I like, the trundle is not my first choice, but together they are a very good combination buy.

This lovely black metal day bed is a lovely addition to any home. I thought it perfect for a teen's room that is looking for a more grown up look. A nice bed cover and some pillows, they have a comfortable couch to entertain on. The kids can sit and watch TV or play video games with plenty of room. There is more than enough room for a few to recline, sit Indian style, or just relax while working on a computer or homework. Once night comes the trundle slides easily from under the day bed and is ready for use. I keep the bed made with a throw over the sheets for instant extra sleeping space. This bed arrives in a flat ship box, the pieces are well made and heavy. It took two men to carry the box and the same two to put it together. It is too heavy for one person to assemble by themselves. Assembly is straight forward with instructions The pieces fit together well and the job was finished quickly. I didn't expect the quality of the bed, and was happy to see that it could be used for an adult without any issues. The slat bottom is a nice firm support for a twin mattress, with no need for a box spring. Both the bed and trundle take standard twin size sheets. I really rethought the use of this day bed after seeing it in person. It is perfect for a guest room, sitting room, bedroom, or even a 3 season room. It can be used during the day for seating company, a quick nap, or everyday seating. Remove the throw pillows and cover and you have two full size twin beds that are comfortable enough for a full size adult to sleep on quite comfortably. The ease of pulling out the second bed (trundle) can be done by a child.

I got this bed as I needed extra seating space for my living room. I expected it to be used as a couch during the day and a bed in the night. However, it is too high to be used as a couch. And because it is made of iron it has sharp edges which are not fun to be around young kids. Overall this will be best in a teenagers room.
