haven't taken it out of the box. we were afraid the house A/C was about to give out, but it didn't. we are holding out just incase or when the central unit quits we will have it.
This fan is great as long as you keep water level up it is fine I change the water every week and keeps it cool. better than a regular fan a lot cooler and that is not using the bottle from the freezer.
So far so good Not regretted ordering this Features r nice
I like being able to use cold water in it to cool the place down. I only gave it 4 stars because the water gets used up quickly. I can't run the water through it all night because it will burn up the pump if there isn't any more water in it. I wish the tank held more water than it does.
This is a great fan would have given a 5 star if the top speed were stronger or higher.
It works if maybe your air conditioner goes out as a back up. But it would not work as an everyday cooling piece. Maybe in an open room but mine was in a close space for work.
This Better Homes tower fan with evaporative cooling looks very nice, is quiet, oscillates, and has a remote, BUT I had to return it because it does not produce enough air flow. I bought this to replace a 14-year-old tower fan from Sharper Image that had all the same features as this fan, minus the evaporative cooling, and much stronger air flow. I do not know what this fan's CFM (cubic feet per minute) is supposed to be because that spec was not on the product page in May 2020, but even on High fan speed, the air flow was weak. I never got to use the evaporative cooling because the weather in my area of central Texas was too humid for it during the time I had the fan. It might be a more effective fan for people in consistently dry climates who could always use the evaporative cooling. For me, the most important thing for a fan to do is blow air, and this one failed. The remote was also unimpressive. I would have liked for it to show the temperature and be able to control the fan without pointing directly at the top of it. For the price of this Better Homes tower fan, I expected and needed more.
i got a defective one the water pump is on for rotation setting and just wind. they refuse to exchange or take it back
Now I see why some people said this fan is no good this thing barely blows out air even on high setting this is second replacement I received still same problem the remote is very none functional cooling feature is useless I don't even know why they even added that to this fan because it will not cool you off not even a little bit im returning this to the store for good this time it's not worth keeping!!
Fan never worked for me.....would turn on but no air
