Better Homes & Gardens Sunrise Digital Alarm Clock with Tranquil Sleep Sounds and Multicolor Light

Good clock at a good price. It has a very neutral/natural look which blends in with my decor. I like the sunrise feature a lot- it helps me wake up easier in the morning. The sound machine noises are nice and I find the thunderstorm sounds to be very realistic. I like that you can adjust the lighting on the clock fact to your preferences (I don't like a bright nightstand clock) and adjust the sound machine sound level and alarm sound level easily too. Personally, I have not bothered with the colored lighting feature, but it may appeal to someone who wants to use it as a nightlight. My clock came with a manual and, with it, I have found the clock to be easy to use and program. I like how this clock is more manual and not phone or wifi dependent, as I am trying to become less phone dependent.

This alarm clock has made a “night and day” difference in my wake up routine! The “sunrise” can begin 30,60 or 90 minutes before the alarm sounds. I keep it set at 60 minutes before and I wake up well before the alarm sounds. Another feature I really appreciate is the fully dimmable clock face. I'm someone who needs total darkness to maximize my rest. This alarm clock is also very aesthetically pleasing, using a similar color palette as the Hatch alarm. Overall, this little alarm clock has been one of my favorite purchases. The simulated sunrise is a much gentler way to start my day. I miss it when I travel!

This is the cutest alarm clock! I LOVE this alarm clock. Recently realized I have ADD and needed something to keep in multiple rooms to give me a sense of the time, that was NOT a cell phone. Love the fact that this little clock has multiple levels of brightness for the time display (which helps when you're trying to sleep at night and the backlight is too bright). This one actually allows you to turn the time display completely off at night, and then it comes back on when the alarm sounds. Also LOVE that you can choose an audible alarm sound (choose from nature sounds or classic alarm sounds) OR you can just choose for it to come on and mimic a sunrise. That helps me alot, since I am older and usually once I'm awake, I'm awake, so I don't need the jarring sounds. Just the light is enough to get me awake, and I can snooze the light if I want a few more minutes. My teenage daughter uses the sound AND the light and she loves it as well. You also have sunset light settings where it has the selection of different colored lights that you could have on, at night. I love this thing - so many useful features and it gets us away from our phones first thing in the AM, and before bed. And its super cute!!! Great value for the price - well worth it!

It's okay! Has really helped with my sleep but sometimes the alarm doesn't go off. The sun will happen but the alarm won't sound. I have been using my phone as a backup just in case. Even due to this error, I still find it useful because of the sunrise

Well made product. Liked the size of the digits in the display and the overall size of the unit. For me the problem was the illumination. Even on the lowest setting it was bright and the top of the unit has a “sunrise” feature that is illuminated. It was almost as if I had a flashlight turned on and had set it upright. Could not get to sleep with all the light

This sunrise alarm is good! I will start with my one complaint: I wish you could use the nature sounds as the wakeup alarm. At first I thought I'd hate the beeping but it's really not bad at all. Features I like and use: sunrise in the first, most natural color option. The sunrise really does wake you up gently before the alarm. The clock dim feature. You can turn the light of the clock face completely off which I love because I don't like any light when I'm sleeping. There are tons of different features I do not use: Sunset, different color options for sunrise or sunset, nature sounds, different levels of brightness of clock face, sound level adjustment, battery backup for power outage. It looks really nice (the woodgrain isn't real either). The price is great. It does exactly what I would want one of those very expensive sunrise alarms to do! I tried to cover everything since I'm a review- reader!

I believe this alarm is too bright to be used as a nightlight. There are not many sounds and they aren't great. It would be great if you could charge your phone, sync to play your music as an alarm, give the options to buy additional sounds and control how bright the colors are like some of these lightbulbs have. If a lightbulb from 5 below can have those capabilities a 30 alarm from home and garden should. There's no radio on it either or other features. I needed an alarm quick and couldn't find what I really wanted to get so settled on this one.

The price is great. Having a battery backup is great too because most of the sunrise alarm clocks don't have a battery backup. The alarm is not great. It is only one noise so no choice of sound and at that it is a high pitched beep. The biggest issue and problem for me and likely why I will return this is the clock display. It is a white light display that even on the lowest level it makes a dark room too bright. You can turn the display off but then if you do and you wake up in the night you will not know the time. They should have gone with an amber display.

This alarm clock does what it is advertised to do. However, I would not recommend buying one. The sunrise feature is not as gradual as it should be. The light starts out bright and gets brighter. The alarm sound is horrible and that is seemingly the only option. I like the colorful light options and the sleep sounds, but I bought this for the sunrise feature, so I am returning it.

there is a glitch with this clock where you set the alarm and then the time display randomly switches between time, and the time you will wake up at. it was also almost impossible to stop the alarm from going off. we thought we turned it off, but the next morning it still went off at 7...now just for context, i have been using alarm clocks for over 30yrs, not once have I had to use a manual...this thing should be easy to use, its not a complex set up, its just that its glitchy. will be returning.
