Better Homes & Gardens Vivian 12 Piece Porcelain Dinnerware Set

I love the half inch lip around the plates. I love that the plates are flat with the raised lip edge because it gives you more room for food and also helps keep the food from going off the plate sides. The white dishes are porcelain and I love that. Makes them a bit more high like crate and barrel but also safer than ceramic because some of those contain lead. They have a high end look without the price! The salad plates are great for sandwiches and chips at lunchtime and the dinner plates are the perfect size for a protein and 2 sides. The bowls are a great size for soup, ice cream, cereal, salad and shepherds pie or chicken pot pie. They are a little heavier than stoneware or ceramic dishes but I’m ok with that. They are microwave and dishwasher safe. I highly recommend them but kind of wish the pink version was porcelain too.

The description in this is wrong, it comes with three pieces per person, for 4 people, one large plate, one small plate, and one bowl. I bought the “cereal bowls” separately but they are the exact same size as the “dinner bowls”. Overall a very cute set, but I do wish I had two sizes of bowls, I bought two 12pc sets and 2 3 pack of bowls for what’s pictured, I was hoping to have 8 large bowls and 6 smaller bowls, but overall I love it, especially for the price.

I really like the style and design of these. Standard size, some sets are a bit on the small size and these are not. Love the lip around the edge of plates.

Absolutely love our new dishes

I needed new everyday dishes and noticed BH%26G had a new collection. I just wanted plain white dishes and this new collection was just plates and bowls. Perfect, I have too many cups already. I found the perfect set and when going into the description I discovered it was called Vivian. Coincidentally three days prior I had a new granddaughter born named Vivian. I new then I had to get this set. It is exactly what I wanted and Walmart delivered it the next day.

These plates are fantastic! I love how they have a high wall/lip so that gravy/juices will not spill off the plates. I was nervous about them staining since theyre white but so far so good! They still look perfect and I use them everyday. The bowls are a perfect size for cereal, oatmeal and soups. Very nice set.

I like the modern look of these dishes. The plates are just the right size and flat with a good rim so your food doesn’t slide off. The bowls are deep and just right for cereal or soup. My complaint is that they etch from silverware use. After just a few weeks my dinner plates look marbled with light grey streaks from the silverware. I expected better from Better Homes and Gardens porcelain dinnerware.

The dishes are a soft sophisticated pink and cream. I love the cream on the outside and pink inside. I did wash the dishes in the dishwasher twice and they have held up beautifully. My main issue is consistency in production. It took 3 shipments of dishes for me to receive a good set of dishes for 8. One set was so poorly made that I was afraid to wait for a replacement but I'm glad I took the chance. My final setting turned out wonderful.
