Better Than Bouillon Reduced Sodium Roasted Beef Base, Shelf-Stable, 8 oz

Like all Better Than Bouillon products, this is delicious. Much superior to other forms of phony-tasting bouillon that are mostly salt and artificial flavors and colors. This is reduced-sodium, but it is still rather salty. Not for people on a sodium-free diet.

The name tells the story. The amount used is normally 1 tsp per 8 oz of liquid used The flavor is the best you can get. Brings flavor of beef up to expectations. The chicken flavor is also excellent. Try one and you'll be keeping several of each in you kitchen cabinet . TLF: @ Mineola, Tx

This stuff is my favorite go to for bouillon. Mix it with water to make your own or add after your soup or sauce is completed to finish off your dish with the exact flavor you want. I keep it in the refrigerator so it's always available when I need it. Great product. Less salt too.

I am never without better than bouillon. I cook a lot and over the years I have used many different bouillon style products. This low sodium is great. If you want a little beef broth just as a warm drink this product is perfect. For someone who enjoys cooking better than bouillon is the Cadillac of beef additive. And it even has tiny little chunks of beef in it. And I might also add the better than bouillon chicken is superb for a nice hot cup of chicken broth

I definitely love this Beef Bouillon product. I have been using it for years. It is my favorite Bouillon! It perks up many recipes if I don't get enough drippings etc. If my pot of soup is a little flavor weak, this Bouillon to the rescue. I always start with about 1/2 teaspoon and build on that flavor. Remember, like salt, you can't remove it. But, depending on flavor/strength, you can always add more. After adding an amount of Bouillon, stir well and be sure to taste before adding more. I love it also because it comes in a glass jar and the consistency is paste-like and easy to use Their Chicken flavors are also wonderful and this product is great value as well. These products are a staple in my kitchen and I will definitely continue to buy them.

I purchased a low sodium and it was great tasting. The nutrition label was clear and I was able to use the beef base for beef stew at dinner. It is not too salty has a great robust flavor and smell. The top of the jar is sealed very well and I would definitely buy again.

Decided to try this over buillion for soup base. First, the sodium content is still as high as regular buillion, which isn't as good. It comes in a paste form, which is different. Following instructions, 1 teaspoon to every 8 ounces of water, it broke down quickly. It does create a delicious flavor for different types of soups including my homemade ramen noodle soup. Price wise it's a little higher than buillion or broth. I'll probably continue buying it but only occasionally.

I deducted the stars NOT because of the product itself but because at the price, the product SHOULD last a year or so. The one I received is only good for a couple of months. That is not reasonable. I won't be able to use all of the product in that time.

I did choose to recommend it but, it does not have as much flavor as I expected. I'm not a salt person anyway so that is not my problem with it it just took three times the amount to get any flavor from it in my soup I made. I guess if you have to be on a reduced salt diet or just don't like salt like me it will do better flavoring then the cubed bullion and is less salty

there is a whole nother line of ingredients that this has that is absent from the ingredients shown! be aware when purchasing! if you have dietary restrictions or allergies, look up the ingredients on the makers site not here to get the true list or you could be in for a rude awakening!
