As a single person, I absolutely love the simplicity of being able to easily have mashed potatoes, without all the junk and chemical preservatives, whenever I want. You dump a few sticks in a bowl, add as little or as much of your choice of milk as you want, heat and eat. I use unsweetened almond milk and make them nice and creamy. Easy peasy, no fuss, no chemicals and I love the flavor.
These bettergoods Mashed potatoes are amazing. They do come in an odd format: cardboard box without any plastic wrapper and I dont follow the instructions. I just add 2 or 3 logs to my bowl of food and put into the instapot to steam. The taste is amazing. It looks like they are being discontinued but I hope I am wrong!
These are absolutely delicious. They come in little fingers of potatoes so you can vary the amount you prepare at one time. Heat halfway, stir, and finish heating. ALSO ** (and this is really important) They're from Belgium, so it's pretty safe to assume there's NO GLYPHOSATE OR FUNGICIDES used by the farmers that grew the potatoes. (they're not allowed to use all that stuff in Europe) I'm sold. No more Or-ida for me. !!! Walmart - I LOVE all these Bettergoods products. Please don't ever discontinue them <3
I live alone and to buy fresh potatoes for myself is not what I want to do.bThese are sooooo easy and really delicious 😋😋. I was really surprised at how yummy they are. They arrive in logs, you just put them in a microwave dish with some water and you .mash them up. That's it.the seasoning and cream is already in them.
This is my first time purchasing this brand I was looking for an option to bagged instant potatoes, full of fillers and sodium. I was really shocked at opening the box seeing the frozen bricks of potatoes my only Kwakwa this is my first time purchasing this brand I was looking for an option to bagged instant potatoes, full of fillers and sodium. I was really shocked at opening the box seeing the frozen bricks of potatoes my only com would be the measurements in grams vs. ounces. They turned out really good for my family and.I'll definitely be buying them again! You can always choose to add your own seasonings to taste.
I've used several brands of mashed potatoes but these surprised me. Opening the box just puzzled me but followed directions but left out the milk/water suggestion because I I like a more dense mashed. This is very good. Very customizable if you want to add sour cream or cheese or any number of things. I will buy again
They're great, easy and quick to prepare, and they taste just like you would want! I put a little water in my pan before cooking it, but if you really wanted to make this side stand out more, you could use butter instead. If you're not going to have gravy, it would be wise to season it with a little garlic.
These are nothing special. Odd, heavy taste and texture. Sort of a pain to prepare. Measured in grams instead of ounces. 600 gm is 6 servings yet instructions say to put 250 gm in a microwaveable bowl to prepare. I'll stick to the mashed potato tubs. Much easier, creamier, more 'real potato' taste.
I really like Better Good products, but I was not impressed with these potatoes. Mashed potatoes are great, but I hate peeling, boiling and then mashing them. You can use an electric mixer, but whip them too long and you end up with potato soup. I opened the box of these potatoes expecting a container of mashed potatoes---instead you get small frozen potato "sticks". OK, I can deal with those. I put them in a microwave safe dish and cooked then according to the weird directions---and they were still frozen cold sticks. Quick note---the directions are super confusing and I guess they might have been translated from the Original Belgian. I finally got them hot enough to mash---so much for ready to eat. These potatoes are extremely flavorless. I ended up adding a lot of butter and some parmesan cheese to "jazz" them up. I will try a different brand of mashed potatoes next time.
Bettergoods products are almost always great but these are awful, no salt or seasonings at all, I mean is this what Belgium mashed potatoes taste like ? I had to really doctor them up, added butter, milk, salt and sour cream then they were edible. Won't buy again but they were easy to prepare
