These ravioli are AMAZING. The sweet hint of the butternut squash is very subtle and will sneak up on you to surprise you. I served these to my family with jarred Alfredo sauce and seared shrimp. Just ridiculous!! We ummmmed and aaaaahed throughout dinner. I ate way more than I should have.
The flavor of this ravioli is very good. I usually serve it after cooking, and frying lightly in butter until its brown. Mushrooms, zucchini and cherry tomatoes are nice additions I sometimes add. Ricotta cheese is also a great addition that elevates the meal.
This RAVIOLI is delicious - very affordable, feeds 3 people, lasts well in the freezer and we order it with Walmart DELIVERY and it always comes fresh and well-frozen. We buy it on a regular basis - we like Walmart's BETTERGOODS brand of food products!!
I was SO impressed with these and glad I bought them on a whim! The herbs and filling were so delicious. I fixed them with a simple white wine/butter/ lemon/garlic sauce and I ate way too much. They are super filling! What a good easy comfort meal. Will definitely be buying again.
Loved these. They are lower calorie compared with other cheese or meat based raviolis because the squash is pretty low in calories. A serving size of 7 raviolis seems like quite a few once cooked. I paired these with vodka sauce cooked with onions and petite diced tomatoes (with liquid cooked off). I threw in some zuchinni and cod poached in the mixed sauce. It was very good!! These would also be really good with just butter and parmeson cheese and maybe a bit of basil. They cook quick too.
These are good, they just NEED a SAUCE! I boiled butter, milk, broth, and powdered garlic for like 7 minutes until it thickened and threw them in and boiled them in it after they were already cooked just to flavor them better.. i recommend somw type of browned butter garlic sauce. It makes them tasty. I didnt like them alone though. They are so good in a sauce that compliments them though.
This was delightful with the sage, rosemary and nutmeg flavors. All are flavors I like and complemented the butternut squash taste. The dough also was thick enough that the filling didn't seep out. I used a butternut squash soup and blended it with silken firm tofu for a sauce. Very tasty.
I would try again but only if i was given this item. I ordered and unfortunately the package i ordered was expired for months. I'm thankful to Walmart for refunding my money, however i feel like i can't really gauge if the taste was based on the expiration or the ravioli on its own and i had a lot of hope for it.
I was really enjoying it for the first few bites until some kind of weird spice hit my mouth that was almost a little spicy, but almost kind of like cinnamon. I don't know. It was just strange. I still finished them, but they wouldn't be my first recommendation the lemon and cut the cheese. One is way better. Try those first before you try these unless you're just a huge butternut fan.
I was eating my butternut squash ravioli and I was excited because I love butternut squash ravioli and it's hard to find. The taste, delicious, however I'm eating and I hit a hard chunk and pull a piece of translucent plastic out of my mouth. This was inside the ravioli!!! I did not use anything plastic to prepare my food nor is anything I'm Using to eat it plastic. This needs to be recalled!
