My daughter and I tried this on a whim, and it was beyond our expectations. The instructions stated to refrigerate after making the mousse, but we were able to enjoy it immediately. We topped it off with cool whip and a crushed Christmas sugar cookie and it turned out to be a really good dessert.
Dark chocolate with a very semi sweet taste! It’s actually very close to a well prepared from scratch mousse. Creamy and thick 20/10 will be buying extra to have on hand for those chocolate cravings. It says you need to chill it in the refrigerator for an hour or more after but honestly, you can eat it right after whipped. It’s still very fluffy and thick even without the chill time.
TOTAL surprise at how good this is. Creamy, rich and could be used as a pastry filling. ONLY make with heavy whipping cream. It also whips up fine using 1 and 3/4 cups of heavy cream. It holds for about 6-8 days in the fridge. You can serve this and people will be impressed. It does freeze up pretty nicely, makes for a no-ice cream maker treat.
I can't get over how amazing this turned out. I used to buy a more expensive chocolate mousse mix that was alright but this one beat that one by MILES in taste and texture. This turned out amazing. I used the remaining heavy whipping cream to make a whipped topping to go on top, it definitely didn't need it but it did elevate the dish. I would be careful when comes time whipping it. it says to whip for a minute on low to combine ingredients and then whip for an additional two minutes oh high until you get stiff peaks but mine stiffened up in under a minute on low.
I love BETTER GOODS! This chocolate mousse is the best! Taste is wonderful and it's so easy to make. It last at least 4 days in the fridge. I make it all the time. The MOCHA one is also amazing! I make it for parties and for every occasion. I aways get positive compliments on my dessert!!!
it taste great but you have to use heavy creasm not milk
It’s yummy, I only had 3/4 cup of heavy cream so I substituted a half cup of whole milk, it still whipped up great. Tastes like a fluffy semi sweet hot cocoa, not too bitter or too sweet. It’s a small amount though, says four portions but realistically, maybe 2 or 3. Not as good as Knorr brand mousse but still good!
This is rich pudding, and it tastes delicious! Better quality ingredients than other brands, but can have somewhat of a texture, so I mix it in a magic bullet type. You need a cup of heavy cream, which is the reason it is so delicious. I ate this as an occasional treat when I was trying a keto diet. The full fat heavy cream makes it so I can only eat a tiny bowl. We also like the Pistachio!
If you add the amount of milk/cream the label calls for, it will almost immediately get very stiff. I experimented and found it needed 2 cups. I beat it to nice stiff peaks, and It had a nice clean mouth feel and a better taste. i still wouldn't recommend it. Use Dr. Oetker's; it's perfect every time.
This is just cocoa powder and sugar in a pre-portioned packet. What makes it "mousse" is only whipped cream. There are no thickeners or gelatine traditionally found in mousse. This is very expensive for what you get. I will not be buying this again.
