This pineapple chicken and rice is a perfect balance of savory and sweet. The chicken is tender and juicy, and the pineapple adds a bright, tropical flair that keeps every bite interesting. It's a satisfying, flavorful meal that I'll definitely be ordering again!
Absolutely delicious! Big chunks of grilled tender chicken and pineapple. Plenty of peppers and onions. Fabulous sauce. Could have used more rice. I made extra rice on the side. Everything Better Goods that I have tried have been great! Looking forward to trying more.
I especially appreciate the freshness of the chicken. I'm picky about that. There could be more pineapple but over all was delicious and easy to prepare. I will definitely buy it again.
This is a great little skillet meal for one or two people. As it is with most frozen meals, though, there's barely any chicken in it at all. It's a little pricey, but it makes 2 meals if I add chicken and extra rice. I almost always have a rotisserie chicken in the refrigerator, so when making this, I add an extra cup or so of chopped chicken, add some extra onions and peppers, maybe even some pineapple if there's a small can in the cabinet. I'll add some rice, too, it takes a minute to make jasmine rice. The flavors are really nice, not overbearing at all. If you want to add a little heat, add some white pepper or pepper flakes. It's a nice, simple meal that I like to make when I'm brain-dead and can't think of a thing to make (that's happening more often…yikes!).
Preparation is very quick and easy, BUT…for this price, there should be more food in the bag. It might be good to have on hand for a day when you don't really feel like cooking. I'm not sure if I will buy this again, due to the price, though.
I cannot believe how expensive ground meat is anymore! It tastes great but there is zero value for your money, seriously! I usually buy the Marketside frozen 6 ⅓lb patties that come in various flavors, but Walmart raised their prices (again) , so high. that I switched to these fresh ones that only come with 4 burgers. I don't know what I'm supposed to feed my family now that the burgers are too high in price as well. That was the last meat I could "afford", and I use the term afford very sarcastically because it was the cheapest meat I could feed my family but now I am down to nothing... I don't know what I am going to do now...
Me and my grandson ate this for dinner and there was barely enough for 2 of us. Not enough chicken and he doesn't like peppers and I had to remove them and I put them in the bag. By time I removed them, the bag was 1/4 full. The taste of the sauce was good. There wasn't much sauce either. I added more pineapple
The sauce is entirety too sweet. And there are more tiny pieces of pepper in it you can't take a bite that isn't full of them. Between the sugar and the peppers you can't even taste the chicken or pineapple. No one in my house would eat it. We had to order a pizza.
Worst thing I've had the displeasure in consuming all year. Threw it all out. Mine seemed like it was 70% peppers and red onions (I hate cooked red onions and did not realise that they were in there until I bought it) sauce was disgusting and there was barely any rice. Will never purchase again. Pic was before sauce added.
I agree with other reviewers in that there was very little rice so if you want this to serve two people you need to add rice to it. However I do not recommend purchasing it. I believe it is overpriced, the flavor is so so, the pineapple had a lot of inedible core left on it and there were pieces that tasted funny so I spit them out. The amount of chicken was just OK. It was more red and green peppers than anything. This is not one of better goods better products.
