When it comes to dairy free alternatives, you always need to have an open mind. I have never found a dairy free cheese that melts without problem, but this one probably is the best I have found. I do not personally eat this cheese straight out of the bag simply because it doesnt taste exactly like regular cheese. I have found this is the least chemical tasting DF cheese in my opinion, and I love that its the cheapest DF option at least in my WalMart. I have been purchasing for years and will continue.

This cheese is so delicious and I was pleasantly surprised how good it tastes. I have never tasted vegan cheese. I was one of those people how were scared to taste it and think that it'll taste like crap. well, it doesn't. if anything, to me, it tastes like the white cheddar popables from lays. That is what it taste and smells like to me. It isn't creamy and it doesn't melt in your mouth when eating it cold. I added it to some Annie's Mac n cheese and boy did it make it even more delicious. It melted perfectly, made it so much creamier and there was no graininess left behind. Even when eating it, cold there is no graininess. No bad after taste, it taste fantastically and I am so going to get more. I am trying to cut off dairy cheese and this is definitely the perfect alternative. It's so good and there has to be a bigger bag sold of this cheese.

I am very impressed with this product. Vegan foods have had non-dairy cheese and such for quite a while now, but the cheeses were awful. Fast forward... Bettergoods Plant-Based has taken vegan non-dairy foods to a new level, both in taste and texture. I enjoy this product, especially in my homemade Mac'n'Cheese!

I love the bettergoods brand, but still, I honestly, didn't have high hopes with it being plant-based. I was wrong. This cheese is delicious. Decided to taste it straight out of the bag and was pleasantly surprised. No aftertaste. Tossed a few shreds into a tortilla, and it melted fairly well and the overall taste was not compromised.

If you're looking for a non-dairy alternative for shredded cheese, this is a great product to get I use it to make homemade taco bell cheesy roll ups with as well ask if I am making a pizza from scratch has a good taste and like I said...DAIRY FREE! Definitely worth what you pay for!

Great vegan cheese. Wonderful in quesadillas, grilled cheeses. Using it for cheese pizza though….it tends to stick to the top of your mouth. You need something on top of it to prevent that from happening. Aside from that, it tastes great, melts well and makes me happy 😃

I wish the grate was finer, but another excellent vegan cheese product that is better than Daiya. This brand is hit-or-miss, but this “cheese” is a hit.

This is a good tasting dairy free cheese alternative. It is good for salads and things like that. But, It doesn't melt as well as I would like it to for hot items like mac %26 cheese. I read that shredded cheese does not melt well because of the agent they use to keep the cheese from clumping together. So I will try rinsing it off and dry with a paper towel to see if it melts creamy %26 stringy the way mozzarella %26 mild cheddar normally does.

We have been buying this cheese for a long time because it was one of the few safe, allergy-friendly options for my son who has multiple food allergies. Unfortunately, our most recent purchase was extremely dangerous. Even though the packaging looked exactly the same, the ingredients had changed — and now include cashews. Because of this, my son had a severe allergic reaction shortly after eating it. He became very sick and vomited several times. He luckily had allergy medicine in him otherwise we would have been in the ER that night. We were blindsided because we trusted this product as a previously safe option. For anyone with nut allergies in their home, please double-check the ingredients every time, even if you’ve used this product for years. I truly hope the company updates their packaging to clearly warn customers when adding new top-8 allergens, because this kind of change can be life-threatening.

ALLERGY WARNING!!!!!!!!! DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE A NUT ALLERGY!!!!!! I am VERY disappointed! I recently bought this thinking I could still have it, but the recipe changed and I had not noticed until I had an allergy reaction and rechecked the package. They changed to CASHEW based. This change could kill people! Go back to coconut! I was so used to buying it and the Improved Recipe label is so faint, I couldn't see it! And not much had changed on the package, I didn't notice till it was too late. The only changes were Coconut to Cashew on the front, the faint Improved Recipe label at the top in very little font, and ingredients which are it's easy to overlook. When someone is used to buying a product, they often do not RE-READ the label and ingredients! The recipe is definitely NOT IMPROVED!!!!!! It was the ONLY cheese I was able to eat! I repeat, it is now a NUT ALLERGY product! They should have labeled in BIG LETTERS ON THE FRONT NUT ALLERGY in white or red for their loyal customers! Do not buy if you or someone in your household has a nut allergy! Allergies are VERY SERIOUS!!!!!!!
