This Gnocchi is soooo good! My son makes gnocchi from scratch he couldn't believe it was store bought! It's crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. The spinach and ricotta are very well seasoned. Cooking is very easy but I used the stove heat medium/high and it sticked to the pan a little. Make sure you move those little babies around frequently to guarantee a non stick and well even crispy crust. I ended cooking it for 15 minutes (more than recommended) to get to the perfect texture. I love Bettergoods products (specially the pizza) but this Ricotta and Spinach Gnocchi will away be is my freezer now. It's so convenient to have something fancy, delicious and easy/fast to make handy for any occasion! I already bought another bag! It's 100% approved and recommended!
This was so satisfying to eat when I had a cold. It’s better than ravioli because, compared to wheat pasta, the potato gnocchi is pillowy soft and so tasty. You can’t even taste the spinach. I ate it with basil pesto or melted butter, but it would also be good with marinara sauce.
Trying Bettergoods Ricotta and Spinach Gnocchi made me so happy. They are very tasty, as well as quick and easy to prepare. The gnocchi make for a simple meal with a side salad or a delicious side dish to accompany your main course. The gnocchi are reasonably priced, and are made with quality ingredients. Pillowy yet crisp on the outside with a delicate filling. 😋
Easy to cook. Took a few extra minutes because I personally added some creamy sauce. Definitely good size portions for multiple servings or people. Super MILD would highly suggest a yummy cream sauce like I did. Not Crispy almost AT ALL! BUTTTT perhaps cooking them in a different pan would of worked.
The only slight downside of these for me is that you can't microwave these. They are skillet or pan on oven only. :) That said, everything else about them is WON-DER-FUL! I wouldn't have thought a 'potato ravioli' with cheese %26 spinach inside would be anything to write home about, but it tastes like the perfect bite of creamy, soft, savory, and with a pinch of saltiness to it that is just right. These are actually SO GOOD, you don't need to serve them with sauce! At least, you don't in my home! My husband, who can be picky sometimes, LOVES them, and my toddler, who is often picky, LOVES them probably even more! It's a great way to give my son protein, dairy, and a bit of veggies!!! Although these are sumptuous dumplings without any sauce required, if you want to dip something into them or cover them in a delicious cape of sauce, I would recommend: --Warm alfredo with mozzarella shredded atop --Warm 'pink sauce' of alfredo blended with marinara, fresh parm flakes atop like happy snowflakes --Cool marina dip --Warm spinach %26 artichoke dip --Cool bacon %26 onion jam
Soooo pillowy, and amazing tastes. We had to immediately repurchase, and even purchased extra for a friend to try. We parboiled first and first time made a sauce. Second time parboiled and fried.!ai hope they never stop selling these.!nothing like those dried, funky ones in a store. Totally like NONNA might make at home Thanks Bettergoods!!! Next time making with a creamy Gorgonzola sauce, then with a pesto. So many plans for these little gnocchi. OH! And not so little. They are BIG, soft, pillowy potato-y balls of delicious. Great price for the amount you get too.
These ricotta %26 spinach gnocchi are ridiculously good. They’re like tiny, fluffy pillows of happiness that somehow made it into my dinner bowl. The texture is soft and light, not dense or gummy like a lot of grocery-store gnocchi can be. The ricotta gives them this creamy vibe while the spinach adds flavor without being overpowering. They cook fast, taste amazing with pretty much any sauce, and honestly feel restaurant-level without the restaurant bill. Total comfort food. I’ll definitely keep buying these.
These are AMAZING!! REAL Gnocchi - not like the usual gummy “gnocchi” I’ve always seemed to come across at grocery stores. I like to dip mine in pesto and my kids (4 and almost 1) like them plain or with a little ranch. I’ve been trying all kinds of items from Better Goods the past few months and there’s maybe one thing (out of 10-13) that was “good, but not *great*). So, all in all I’m extremely pleased to find a brand that’s so consistent with their quality and their prices.
With a little bit of butter or olive oil just throw these gnocchi in a covered pan for 7-8 minutes (shake them around a few times), and you get a crispy outside but delicious creamy inside snack or meal.
The Gnocchi was made well. It can be made crispier by using a longer cook time in a toaster oven. The gnocchi was seasoned with a spice that deterred me from wanting to consume the gnocchi in large quantities (more than one serving size). Parmesan could be added to the gnocchi to flavor it at a tolerable level. Per labeled cooking instructions, the gnocchi will be soft and the ricotta will not be firm.
