Tomato Bisque is my favorite. I often make it homemade, but this is really close! It is very rich, and creamy. The roasted tomato shines right through. This sized jar is perfectly suited for one person to have a nice big bowl. It is fantastic with grilled cheese on sourdough! I also like that I taste everything but salt. The salt content is spot on, as most soups are drowning in it. Very Happy with this purchase. The Better Goods product line has alot of winners.
This soup is amazing! The only thing I added to it was some parmesan/romano cheese from a shaker. It tastes great whether you eat it hot or cold. It can also be used as a pizza dipping sauce. The quality of this soup is fantastic and I hope it's never discontinued.
I love this delicious soup, and it doesn't give me acid reflux like others do. Fantastic and simple ingredients. The ONLY issue I have is that the jar says it's 24 oz—only it's not. It's 16 oz (2 cups). Don't believe in other companies that have to add nonsense for flavor because this soup proves it should be unnecessary. My mom hijacked the last jar I bought as a substitute for marinara sauce (for goulash) and the family could not eat enough of it.
I absolutely love it as just a soup. Maybe with some croutons, or some garlic bread. I also use it as my spaghetti sauce when you want something.Just a little bit different. And for smothered, pork chops or smothered chicken. It's absolutely diverse in what you could use it for I really enjoy it.It's a regular and a stable in my household.Try it you might like it
A sweet widow lady asked me to see if I could find this soup when I went out the next time. Since I was ordering for myself, I made a separate order for her. You would have thought I gave her a million dollars. I will do this again for her. She was grateful as well as humble.
I am not a soup lover. I can't imagine having soup for supper or any meal. It just doesn't seem like real food. BUT- I think this soup is GREAT! It's like real food. It's real food. It's got substance. It's got flavor. It's not too salty. It's just right oh my gosh I feel like Goldilocks when I eat it because “it's just right, and she ate it all up!” And it doesn't have to be cold out side to eat it for supper!
I love most of the Better Goods products and I am a fan of corn chowder, so I was guessing I was going to love this. unfortunately, however, the chili flavor was so overpowering that my partner and I both gave up and threw it away after a couple bites.
I received this item fast. I couldn't wait to see how this tomato soup tasted. I opened the box and took the first bottle out trying to open it up when I realized the bottle was broken not only one bottle but two. What a mess! So ok I went to try the third bottle and the seal was broken. I know what happened here. Fed ex made the delivery and our driver always just throws the box up on the porch. I've seen him do it. I tried to talk to him and he just hurried off and would not talk to me. RUDE wish Walmart would still have contract with UPS. They were the best.
I really wanted to like this Batch Green Chili Corn chowder, but this one is terrible. It's too spicy to truly shot (and this coming from a family that lives Hatch green chiles). It's also weirdly sweet but not a lot of flavor. My non-picky eaters family would not eat this. I took the remainder and added some heavy cream and salt in hopes of improving it, but sadly no. I literally threw both jars out and Will not purchase this again. We love the butternut squash version however.
I'm a big fan of corn and chile chowder. Ive had it from Au Bon Pain, Panera, even Whole Foods makes one. This was disgusting. So sweet! Why are they adding sugar? It left a bad aftertaste in my mouth. I never waste food but I threw half the jar away. They add 10g of sugar per serving. For comparison purposes, Fruity Pebbles cereal has 13g of sugar per serving. What were they thinking? I do not trust and will not buy this brand ever again. They market it as if it is a healthier alternative but it isnt. Looking at the ingredients on their other products they are all filled with garbage. Ive never bought any of their stuff because of this. I failed to see the amount of sugar when I read the soup ingredients. Never again with "better goods" lol
