Betty Crocker Delights Super Moist, German Chocolate, Cake Mix, 13.25 oz

I ordered four boxes of the German Chocolate cake mix. They were delivered on time. On the side of the box were clear instructions that had my family enjoying a moist, delicious German Chocolate cake.

Killer recipe, use this cake mix, after it bakes punch holes all over baked cake, pour 1 can caramel into all those holes, pour 1/2 can condensed milk into each hole then refrigerate….. once cool top with Cool Whip and crush butterfingers and spread all over, about 4 of them on top. Cant sit still and eat!!!

For some reason grocery stores have stopped carrying german chocolate cake mix. This is the only cake my husband likes so I had to find some. Thank you Walmart for having it available on-line and for a decent price.

Not as good as my mom's homemade, but still good. I added a little coffee and buttermilk in place of the water, and butter instead of oil, and an extra egg

This cake is so moist and rich, it has the right chocolate flavor and German chocolate cake shoul have. I made it for my birthday cake and everyone loved it. I trust Betty Crocker brands for the best.

Betty Crocker mixes are better than Pillsbury in my opinion. I usually buy mixes when price goes dow

Boxed cake mixes offer a substitute for scratch baking. We know going in the flavor profile is limited. What we do receive is an even texture in the finished product. I substituted butter for oil and the milk on hand (2%) for water. Just a quick fill-in for a delicious homemade German Chocolate scratch delicacy w/ corresponding butter rich pecan coconut frosting. Tasted like paper, with no sweetness, no chocolate flavor, no favor at all. Followed directions perfectly - cake fluffy %26 moist, but zero taste. Not even close to the delicious German chocolate flavor that I remembered, from many years past using Betty Crocker. You changed the product recipe-will NOT be buying Betty Crocker anymore. Will not recommend.

Who packs a box of cake mix under a very heavy package of bottle drinks ?!?! Walmart does!!!! A total waste of money. Damaged %26 can't use!! Someone needs to learn proper packaging.

i haven't used this German cake mix in a very long time, and sheesh has it gone to the dogs. The cake was so lightweight that the frosting actually smooshed/collpsed the cake and reduced the cake height by at least a third, and it kept smooshing it by the hour. Granted, German chocolate cake frosting is heavy, but that's exactly why a german chocolate cake mix is supposed to support it. The texture was weird too. Almost like angel food cake, but not. It was as if there wasn't enough flour or something, as if it was somehow pumped up with too much air, and the cake collapsed. For the exhorbitant price, there's no reason I can see that it's become such bad quality, other than corporate greed. Fine then. I'll make my own from now on, since you now produce dog-doo cake mix. Bite me, Betty Crocker.
