[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Betty Crocker Suddenly Salad, Ranch and Bacon is my absolute favorite. It's a comfort food for me. No other brand will cut it either. As for what I love about it, that would be almost everything. There is only one thing I don't like and that is that it's not as inexpensive as it used to be. Which translates to, we don't get to have it as often. I honestly would give it 6 stars if I could, it's that good.

Cant go wrong on a summer bbq by using the ranch and bacon suddenly salad. My entire family loves when I make this to go with dinners you can do so many fun things to this salad to dress it up add some tomatoes cucumbers chicken or just leave it how it is. Great all the way around.

It used to be excellent tasting. But along with downsizing the box, they skimped on the spices. Now I mostly taste mayonnaise, even though I leveled off to half a cup. If they were going to end up skimping on the ingredients, they should have started out that way. It's always better to keep a tasty dish intact and raise the price. Otherwise the company will lose their good reputation and customers will know they can't depend on a consistently good flavor. I don't know how to fix the flavor. I was thinking that tuna, shrimp or the fake crab meat would help, along with a mountain of freshly grated Parmesan. The pasta shells are small, about 1/2 inch x 3/4 inch. The bacon bits are hard. If you're going to buy it, I recommend making it at least four hours before serving, to give the bacon time to soften. Don't overcook the pasta; it may need less cooking time. The appearance of the prepared pasta is as bland as the flavor. I think finding a recipe on line would be better tasting. I wish I knew all this ahead of time, instead of buying those seven boxes.
