This device arrived appropriately packaged and sealed with all the pieces. Quick review of the instructions helps as there are many settings to choose from depending on placement of pads. I've been going to a chiropractor lately that specialize in functional medicine using various contraptions instead of cracking bones. One of the devices used is similar to this albeit theirs is an industrial version and this is a portable version. It's mainly used to promote blood flow by sending electrical impulses to the nerves in the area for pain relief. Having experienced it before, it does numb and lessen the pain. With this portable device attached via a belt clip that's included, you can still move carefully around the house and get on with the day. However, for faster pain relief, it's best to be stationary for a relaxing feel. Surprisingly batteries are included which is nice so you can get started right away. One thing that I would have preferred that's not included is a storage pouch of some sort for traveling. Ziploc bag will have to do for now. Overall, it's lightweight, the portable form factor, and multiple settings to choose from, this is another tool for the household to relieve from the one-off or recurring pain after a hard day's work.

Before receiving this TENS unit, my previous unit was one that was prescribed by a doctor and ordered through a physical therapist. It's 14 years old and still used on a regular basis. Based on that, I had lower expectations for a unit that would be considered "over the counter". I am happy to say that this unit has pleasantly surprised me! There's something more "smooth" and gentle in how it delivers the stimulation, and I really like the LED screen for more versatility and control of the individual channels. I have been dealing with significant low back pain (muscular) for the last two weeks and this device brought more relief in one session than my older unit had over the course of several days! I'm a fan! The only thing I want to call out is that my older unit ran on batteries but also had an AC adapter for times when you want to use it while remaining sedentary. This unit appears to only run on batteries. Not a deal breaker by any means, but wanted to be sure to call it out. Very happy with this unit!

I have RA, osteoarthritis, spinal arthritis, Degenerative disk disease, lots of surgeries... Always wanted to try one, so I was rather excited to try this... I just got home from a two level lumbar fusion so this was perfect timing. Hips and knees ache. You get this use manual but only a few pages per language. I admit, I have not read that booklet yet. Came with batteries. Love that! Uses 3 AAA. Easy to install. The pads are super super sticky but still easy to remove so they work over and over again. Plugged it all in, pressed buttons until it came on... It felt really really nice. I can see now why so many people like these units!! I highly recommend!!

I had heard of TENS units before but from what I had read it involved pads and gel and what seemed like a lot of hassle. I have ongoing issues with my back and shoulders as well as suffering from cluster headaches and migraines. The TENS can't help with the neck up but it does wonders on my shoulder and back pain. I am hoping this leads to fewer headaches as the tension won't build up over time. For this unit, it's really best as a single person unit because there is no need for gel or disposable pads. The pads that come with it are sticky and you can use them as long as they continue to stick. That makes life a lot easier but also means I don't like the idea of sharing the pads with others. You simply peel and stick and choose your setting and strength and you are good to go. There is an included clip so you can clip the unit to your clothing and go about your day. I use mine while cooking or working on the computer usually. You could even use it at work it's that easy to use. The included pamphlet is very thorough and goes over the restrictions and offers best practices. There are diagrams so you know the different places you can put the pads and it breaks down how to use the different settings on the device. Once you turn it on you can adjust the strength at any time and once you have done so initially it will start the 30-minute countdown so you do not accidentally have the unit on for too long. Everything is clearly displayed on the screen so you know what area you have it set to, the time that is left, and the intensity that it's on. You can set left and right to different intensities as well. The feeling does not hurt - it feels like one of those small back massagers that are popular during the holidays. The odd part is that you feel it inside but you cannot feel it outside - there is no vibration to be felt on the outside of your skin if you touch it. Once you get used to it, it actually feels quite relaxing and nice. I really enjoy using it and will continue to use it daily on my back and shoulders. It even has a menstrual setting for dealing with menstrual cramps. I am looking forward to trying that one when the time comes in hopes of offering relief there as well.

I received this Beurer Digital TENS Device because I wanted to try it on all my bad spots on my body. I have had two hip replacements and need hip revision now. I have had a total of 12 surgeries on my shoulder, wrists, foot and hips. Believe me I know pain and this TENS device helps me with the pain I have. If someone is looking for a portable TENS and EMS device because I have had many TENS devices but this one is my favorite due to the customization it offers. It comes with 4 pads elector stimulators, 3 AAA batteries, and instruction booklet. I like the many settings because I can adjust the level of intensity too. I used it on my wrists/forearms, knees, lower back and shoulder. I have to tell you so far so good I am not taking as much pain medication and I feel a lot better. Greetings, I am a Wal-Mart Sparks Reviewer, and today I will be doing a review on the Beurer Germany Digital - Ten Device used for Pain Relief and Muscle Therapy. This is a great hand-held device which came in the colors of white and gray. This product uses three (3) AAA batteries, and comes with four electrode pads, and two sets of wires with two snap buttons on top of the electrodes. One set is white and the other set is gray. I snapped the cables on top of each electrode. By the way, these pads are very sticky which insures that each one stays in the area that is needed for therapy. I placed these electrodes on my ankle area, and my first reaction to this product was a tickling feeling, and the more I increased the digitals the more intense was the therapy which was pretty cool. However, I did reduced it to about half the frequency and enjoyed it very much because it did soothe my ankle pain which was such a relief. I also like the fact you can adjust the minutes on how long you want to receive the therapy. I do highly recommend that you read the instructions thoroughly because there are places you cannot use these electrodes. The only thing I had to get use to was the tingling sensation which felt very soothing. Other than that, I love this product because it gave me such great relief to those muscles pains, and I just simply enjoyed it!

Let me start off by saying I am skeptical of many pain techniques mainly because there is not much I have not tried. I have had pain in various areas of my body starting as early as 1998 so when I say there is not much I have not tried I mean it. I decided to go ahead and try this Beurer Digital Electrostimulation TENS device because nothing ventured nothing gained after all. The four electrode pads are just the right size, not too large and not too small and fit anywhere on my body just fine. The pads do not need the use of gel either, so that is a lot less messy. I have not used this device long enough to give a one hundred percent review either way but I can say it has been surprisingly effective on my knee pain. I have pain in my feet and that is an area where it is hard to get the pad to stay in place but being very still while having them in place on my feet did make a difference in the level of pain being decreased. That is always a good thing. This device is easy to use and the digital display is helpful in giving you suggestions of placements and programs. Or, you can make your own program. It has an automatic shut off which is great so you don't overdo, especially if you fall asleep while using it. I also like the portability of this device. It is small enough to put in your bag and take with you.

This Beurer tens device is a life saver for me. I have had 5 back surgeries and have a 6th surgery soon. My pain has been so severe, I could not stand up straight, or for more than a few minutes. Lately, I even had trouble sleeping through the pain. When I received the opportunity to test this device I was very excited to see if this type of therapy would help. Can you imagine my surprise that after using this just before going to bed, that I did not have as much pain in my back that I had been experiencing? Since I sit at a desk all day, my back muscles really suffer, and having so much back pain, my exercise is less than optimal. This tens unit stimulates the muscles, thereby reducing pain. Since receiving this unit, I wear it everyday to work and turn it on several times a day. The unit itself if small enough to fit in your pants pocket, or you can clip it on to your pants. The wires are long enough to have the pads placed on your back and come around to the front with no problem. The unit itself has built in programs that you can use, or you can program your own. I really enjoy the built-in programs, especially the back-pain program, as it changes the way it stimulates during the cycle. The unit also has an illustration on the device that shows optimal placement of the pads for each part of the body, so you don't have to refer to the manual all the time. Beurer has really thought of everything to include in this tens unit for easy use and the pain relief is phenomenal. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone who suffers from either chronic pain, or an occasional muscle strain.

It was great luck that I got this device when I did due to a slipped disc that occurred a couple of weeks earlier. I didn't want to take prescription pain medication and over the counter medication wasn't quite cutting it. I tried this and I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked. There was no tingling, shocking or numbness where the leads were placed when the machine was on. However, eventually the pain started to lessen. It actually did a very good job of relieving pain. The only issue I have with it, and the reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is that the pain relief was temporary. I would have liked for it to have lasted a little longer. still, I'm looking forward to when I'm feeling better again so I can start going back to the gym and I think this will really help with muscle soreness even more than my current situation. I would recommend this product.

Let me just start by saying, Please read the inclosed literature before using the Digital Tens Device as there is a section in the manual that states when not to use this device ...Also I would suggest that you speak to your physician or physical therapist for advice on using this device before purchasing. When used correctly This device is suppose to interrupt the signals that the brain sends to the area in your body that is hurting and thereby causing the muscle to relax. In order to achieve this goal you first have to set the unit to the desired setting, if your muscles are strongly contracting the device is too high! This unit comes with 4 pre glued reusable electrode patches ... you can use 2 for a small area or all 4 for a larger area. The unit works well on the lower back, thighs, shoulders, ankles and calves. Apply the patches to the area that hurts...select one of the programmed options 1-15 or use one of the 3 customizable programs.The digital Display Panel Will show electrode pad Placement Options, remaining time and auto shut-off... once the program has been selected sit back and relax. By the way this device is just a much smaller version of what they use in the physical therapy after you've completed your workout session. I'm on the fence about the product as I was still had some discomfort after several sessions, I felt as though the batteries may have played a part in it as well. In my opinion it seemed as though the power weakened after each use ...as the device does require the use of 3 AAA batteries which were included.
