I wanted to try frozen, store bought dumplings for the first time so I bought three different ones. This was, by far, the best. If you like Chinese steamed dumplings, you'll love this. The sauce the dumplings come in may be a little spicy for some but not for me.
Ok, these are really good. They are definitely spicy. They are definitely saucy. They are definitely filling. The dumplings have a nice texture and don't get soggy in the sauce. Authentic Asian flavor. Overall, it's a great little meal.! Loving the kick.
I agree with the other reviewers that this is a tasty item. It reminds me of ravioli but asian style with an almost too spicy sweet and sour sauce. The first time I served it, it was straight out of the box but next time I will serve it over a bed of rice or mixed in with some instant chow mein (Nissan style) with an addition of a frozen bag of steamed vegetables. The price of 3.87 was great and 400 calories not too bad
So good. It is on the spicy side (if you are not a huge spice person) but its less than Flamin Hot. I do sometimes add a small scoop of powdered sugar to calm it down and just make it a different sauce flavor. It would be great over rice as well. A great quick meal or side for sure
I eat a lot of frozen food because I am alone most of the time. I tried these on a whim and was sooooo pleasantly surprised. Delicious, cook nicely and the sauce was perfect. Don't let the word spicy fool you. These are not spicy…just perfectly savory. Will absolutely buy again
What a pleasant surprise! I've never tried these before, and am so glad I took the chance! The dumplings are delicious and the sauce is actually spicy, no joke! Very flavorful with a nice burn, especially for a frozen microwave meal. I will absolutely be buying these again!
I love most Asian appetizers. However, most of the ones I've ordered, the frozen ones, from the store are awful...meaning soggy, flavorless, and taste really old. So, I tried this brand and was very happy with it. I can say it has a heat kick, but it doesn't hang around. the texture was good as in not soggy or chewy. VERY flavorful and filled just fine. No issues with any of them falling apart. These will be go to appetizers. I've already ordered more of these.
I liked the generosity of how many dumplings were in this entree. The dumplings themselves were delicious, but the spice was too intense for me. I made sure as little sauce as possible made it on to my plate; and by cutting the dumplings in half, I was able to not allow the sauce to touch my lips. The spice problem is on me. I did not notice the pepper image on the package that indicated the spice level was probably a 6, but now I know what to pay attention to on Bibigo items marked spicy. Though not for me, I know others will enjoy these dumplings.
We all need some quick to fix snacks and meals. I decided to try something new and these were a good choice. They are quick to fix. While the package mentions microwave prep, my grandson likes to brown them in a little butter for a crispier dumpling. The easy microwave prep yields a soft and tasty item with very tasty pork and vegetables. The chili and garlic sauce on it is amazing and has a kick to it. These are surprisingly good and easy. Try them out soon.
Decent spicing and flavor is pretty good but that's it. Vegetables? Where? There are crunchy pieces but what are they really. The “dumplings” Are Not your Grandmother's texture solid dumplings. These so-called dumplings are filled with air and absent of any so called “vegetables” Southern dumplings vegetables are totally separate. These “dumplings” are so oily and slippery they slide down like it's meant to be. These so-called dumplings are void of any flavor and texture. The claim of having “vegetables” is misleading. This was my first time trying them and I am very disappointed I spent one dime on these. Don't buy! If you want dumplings make them American style.
