Thet are durable and hold up to the abuse that a young child gives to them. I have them in our homework bucket to be readily available for them to use each day and i have 2 with me at work that i love!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been buying buc lead pencils forever. They only seemto get better. The xtra sparkle mechanical pencils are only sparkly on the actual pencil. It has nothing to do with the lead itself. I got 0.07 in lead size. This size is just right not being too fat or too slim in lead size. I dont press down that hard when i write thpugh the lead itself is very sturdy. I buy these for my 9 year old as well and she presses down pretty hard and they still withhold her pressing and dont break.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the convenience of mechanical pencils. Whenever my boys are doing their homework, they manage to break all the tips off regular pencils. These ones are stronger so they don't break as easily, but if they do break, you just pop up some new lead!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this pack of BIC-Xtra Strong MP. Writing with these pencils is great because they write smoothly and the leads don't break easily. They really come in handy when I have to write up a draft instead of using ink.

She enjoys using it and has been writing various things with these multicolor pencils. She loves the sparkle. The best thing is she manages without breaking the lead frequently.
