Item was intact, well packaged, all 50 plus 3 free lighters accounted for. The price was really good. A Bic, full size, for under a dollar -- really good price. I won't have to buy any for a couple of years and already gave some to family for their hurricane emergency packs.
Great price, but several have shown to not work. Out of the first 10 used, 2 didn't work properly, one wouldn't light and the other sounded like it was gonna blow up and was like a torch spitting fuel out! Those are pretty terrible odds, 20% didn't work, but hopefully going forward I won't have too many more
first, this is not a review against the item. just the condition it found itself in on my doorstep. when it finally showed up. either something extremely heavy was placed on top of this 50 pack, or it may have been run over by a vehicle or fell from a top warehouse shelf and hit the ground top first really hard. The photos unfortunately show an ocean of non-child resistant lighters, because the spring that is usually on the thumb flicker has been pressed down so hard that none of them are in the correct position. these do not look like normal new Bic lighters nor do they feel like them when using. The carton always smells like butane, they throw fire and spit butane in upright position, they feel crunchy, the metal ferrule is loose, AND a large number of them are already empty. already contacted the seller and I'm sending a quick email to Bic. otherwise, though! Bic lighters are a great product, the price was good, but the shipping was rather slow and the condition they were in upon arrival was unacceptable.
These lighters didn't deserve to have the name Bic branded on them! I have been buying Bic lighters for over 30 years because they have always been quality, dependable lighters. I don't know if it's new fluid in them or what but they run out over twice as fast as normal and if it's lit for very long the flame dies down and starts to flicker. Honestly, I'm very disappointed.
DO NOT BUY THESE ARE COUNTERFEIT BICS! They aren't filled with butane they're filled with a propane like fluid that stinks, they also won't last 5seconds or more without destroying themselves and the flames are pulsing like small to large and then just small small they are hideous! Get your money back asap! They say made in France, BICS are made in the USA. These are beyond sub par they're dangerous!
Bic lighters I buy from the store usually last us for two or three months. So far these lighters are lasting about two weeks before running empty. Are these rejects that failed testing? Very disappointed. I would have been money ahead buying super cheap, no-name lighters from the Dollar Store.
These don't last more than 3-4 days, the flame is small and the child resistant spring seems to interfere even more with ignition. Have ordered in the past and they were ok but so far at least 1/2 out of one box have been defective. Ordered 2 boxes of 50 this time and hope the others work better.
These lighters are not made in the USA and it tells in their performance. I have talked with BIC before about this issue but they claim. There is no difference between the ones I have, which are labeled “France” I beg to differ, they just don't care !!!!
The lighters run out of fuel rapidly The product seems like a second or reject They do not seem as strong and durable I love Bic lighters but these were defective .. They costed $1 a piece . If they are not to specs and qualifications then let the consumer know. I noticed in the comments that others had the same problem . Quality control needs to be evaluated .Hire qualified workers to work at an American company Thank you for your attention to this matter
They were knock offs. Definitely not authentic Bic lighters. Not even the three on top were true authentic Bic lighters. They either didnt strike or didnt light or if they did the fuel was real low and didnt last a day
