they write smoothly-i like to doodle. my two complaints are the colors look too much alike (turquoise and dark green. pink and red, light and dark orange and the yellow pen is actually an orange color so there is no yellow. maybe the wrong ink was put in my yellow? I ended up with 3 orange and no yellow.

I have enough pens to last a lifetime but loved the colors!!! Couldn't resist still on the fence using my dependable brand for right now Bought a competitor with great colors and the price was excellent and they leaked all over the place after just a few days got goopy and I put one in my pocket not a choice I would usually make but it got ink all over my pants and pocket AND to top my mistake off I forgot to check my pockets when washing and the ink got pall over everything on my load of laundry
