BIC Xtra Comfort Mechanical Pencils, Medium Point (0.7mm), 12-Count

I usually don't write reviews, but I don't feel that the 1-star, single review does these pencils any justice. I love these and use them religiously for school (undergraduate). My 5 year-old son can use them without too much trouble, as well. However, if you are a heavy writer (have a tendency to press hard when writing) then I highly recommend that you get the .9mm size instead of the .7mm. If you are a light writer, then the .5mm does just fine. If you drop a pencil (or the box) with the point-end of the pencils down, then its possible that the tips bend or break. In which case, no - the lead will not come out. Otherwise, I've never had any trouble :)

This product is 0.5 mm with a lot of precision. The lead doesn't break muck unless the pencil is dropped. This can last for a long time and you can just refill lead to keep using the pencil.

I love these pencils, they are excellent, I just added a rubber grip on it and it is the perfect pencil.

The lowly remaining pencil has performed admirably in its service to me, the lead moves smoothly, the clicker is sturdy, and the eraser does what is intended. I give it 5 stars. My daughter's review: "I brought these in for my friends because they have glitter and my friends LOVE glitter. They work good for writing but tear paper if you draw too hard. My favorite is the blue one!" She also gave them 5 stars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these awhile back and I just started using them. I do a lot of writing at work and I prefer pencils. They write very smooth. The eraser fits snug enough to where it doesn't move while erasing but it comes out easy to replace the lead. The colors and sparkle are very cheerful.

I sometimes find mechanical pencils annoying as the lead breaks too easily- I don't seem to have this problem with BIC pencils. They have strong lead and less breakage. I think this package is a great value for ten pencils!

And the lead is sturdy...I didnt experience any breakage at all.I didnt really understand the concept of the sparkle though.Never saw sparkle but I would recommend these pencils as...great product!!
