BIC Xtra Strong Mechanical Pencils, 0.9 mm, 24 Count

I use mechanical pencils on a regular basis, mostly for notes on projects. There are pencils that may be slightly better but the prices for them by far exceed any additional benefit. BIC is consistently good quality and simple to use. I am very happy with the price and appreciate the delivery service.

I hate pens, and if I can get away with it I use your pencils not a regular pencils. Your product writes very nicely and smooth, and I'm able to control what I write without any hassle and it's great to pump the lead as well as have the eraser right on top. Would highly recommend this product.

Love these pencils! I usually break the lead in a mechanical pencil multiple times because the lead writing is too light. Not with these pencils…..not only is the lead writing darker…. the lead is much thicker! Thanks Walmart, for carrying this item.

I've always loved mechanical pencils! Especially because because they write with a fine point - just like the pens I purchase! These pencils don't require sharpening, but a replacement lead sometimes. Give them a try if you've never used one! You may never go back to the "regular grind".

Solid! If you have chonker hands and find yourself snapping those little flimsy cheap ones in half, look no further. They are not metal and the eraser builds up a lot of dirt overtime (nothing a good scrape can't fix) but they hold up good enough to last until all the graphite is gone! What more can you ask for?

My older kids (ages 10, 13) love these pencils for school so they don't have to worry about pencil sharpening. They like the vibrant colors of these pencils. Eraser works well. We like these so much that I also used them as part of their party goodie bags for their classmates. The only thing is that although the lead is supposed to be strong, it does still break easily. I have to remind them to not write too hard/don't push down too hard when writing or else it can break a few times in one sitting. This especially happens when my 5 year old uses them. However it does include a lot of lead and at least you can just push out more as needed so you can get back to your work. Lead writes smoothly.

Definitely better than normal mechanical pencils. Maybe I'm just a heavy handed caveman but I'm constantly breaking the lead on normal pencils. I can still break them with these but it definitely reduces how often I do it by a lot. The lead could be even thicker IMHO but for the price it's a good value regardless.

I don't love these pencils, unfortunately. As a former teacher, I will admit that I am a little particular about pencils. My issue with these is that they can be a bit uncomfortable to hold, the lead frequently breaks during use, and often the erasers will pop off over very minor movements. Unfortunately, this is not a pencil brand I would purchase again.

The lead breaks easily and is frustrating to use because of this. I question if they are a true 0.9 mm lead. The price is great for the quantity and the colors are cool. Hard to find quality mechanical pencil lead without going to the 1.0 or 2.0 leads. I blame the companies for messing with quality they once had just to make more money and not caring about their customers. This in no way reflects Walmart at all, they sell what is available.
