I don’t know how we have managed to get by without having one of these blankets. It is absolutely perfect for so many reasons. First, it’s amazingly soft and plush and feels so good up against my skin especially when it’s warm. For anyone that has poor blood circulation in their legs, this blanket is a must have. This blanket is so soft and pillowy! Ever since I’ve been using it my sleep patterns have gotten much better because of the effects that it has had on my legs and circulation. It definitely helps to keep me warm throughout the entire day as well as overnight. The digital controller is perfect for dialing in the exact desired temperature. I highly recommend getting this blanket.
The Biddeford Blankets Micro Plush Heated Electric Blanket is just wonderful. I am using it to replace a different type of heating blanket and like this one far better. It comes packaged in a plastic zipper bag and the controllers are in individual bags. They need to be plugged into the blanket to complete assembly. The blanket itself is incredibly soft and plush, but not extremely thick. This keeps it on the light side so it doesn't feel overly heavy. The microfiber is delicate and just heavenly to the touch. It's very much like a baby fleece. The fabric molds well to my body and fits my queen bed perfectly. The wires inside the blanket are nice and flexible and very thin which makes them barely noticeable unless you are folding or handling the blanket. The blanket heats up very quickly and has a nice, even heat. I love the fact that it has dual controls which means I can bask in the warmth of the heating blanket while my husband can remain at his own normal temperature. I don't feel any hot spots on the blanket; the heat is evenly distributed across the entire half of the blanket (depending on which half you have turned on). The controllers are nicely made and easy to use and understand. The display is highly visible, even in the dark. My favorite part is that it has an auto-shutoff so I don't have to worry about accidentally leaving it on. Aside from it working perfectly - the blanket is nicely made and the dark gray color I got is lovely. The blanket has a quilted look so it has more visual appeal than just a standard fleece surface. There is a slight texture in the form of top stitching that is attractive. If the blanket isn't plugged in properly to the cords it will display and error so you will know that something is awry. Overall I'm extremely happy with this blanket and am sleeping like a baby at night!
A really nice blanket with the heat or without the heat. First time I used it I was so cozy I went to sleep under it, only sleep after trying out the heat .I don't suggest doing it while it's on.It's a pretty color and I like that you can't feel the wires hardly in it. Definitely a upgrade from the ones years ago. It's a nice blanket and It shows it can be washed quickly in the wash machine also I would be worried about doing that however. It's a nice blanket for chilly winter nights.I don't know how long the heat part will function but it's a pretty blanket overall.I'm writing this review for the Walmart Spark reviews program and I recommend this blanket.
I definitely enjoy the softness of this blanket. This super soft micro plush is very cozy and is one hundred percent polyester. The ultra thin wire design makes for an added comfort when using the blanket. There are ten therapeutic warmth settings depending on how cold the room. The digital controller is easy to use and has a great auto off feature. This blanket is great for the house, camping and when you're traveling as I keep a power pack in the car with a plug in and use this blanket when needed. I definitely enjoy this electric blanket.
I was sent the Biddeford Plush Heated Electric Blanket with digital controller in exchange for an honest review. I hadn't used an electric blanket in ages and when I saw the “plush” description I thought I would try it. It didn't disappoint. The blanket is super soft and the queen and kings have dual controls (heat one side only or both to your individual needs!) And they heat quickly and evenly top to bottom. They say it has an upper and lower zone and the lower zone provides additional warmth to your lower extremities. Though I really didn't notice the difference my feet do tend to be cold and I was snug as can be top to bottom so that must be true. The blanket is super soft and lightweight which is nice as I don't like heavy blankets on top of me. It has 10 settings 1-9 and high and it monitors and adjusts the heat to remain at the heat level you choose. I slept through the night quite comfortably on 2. I was really looking forward to using this blanket throughout the remainder of the winter until one of my cats began kneading the blanket the next morning and it dawned on me that maybe that wasn't too safe. I read the instructions thoroughly and sure enough it says “Keep all animals away from your heated bedding. They could damage the wiring, leading to a potentially harmful situation”. Ugh. Back to my regular two heavier blankets. This beauty is now delegated for guests only! To any households without animals I would certainly recommend, but I won't take a chance on my cats kneading or chewing on and I wouldn't recommend anyone with dogs or cats to try it either.
As soon as my electric throw arrived, I opened it and placed it over me immediately. I had my regular throw, but it wasn't doing enough. After plugging it up and selecting a low setting, I could soon feel the slight warmth from the soft fashionable blanket. I use it while I'm awake and fully alert, so to not let it bunch up and or possibly over heat. So far so good and no need to adjust my furnace when I'm chilly. This is just enough, even on low.
This 50"x62" throw is 100% polyester (feels like a smooth fleece) and is machine washable. It has three heat settings and an automatic 10 hour shutoff. I spread out the throw on my queen sized bed so you can get a perspective of the size (see picture). The high setting (low, medium, high) puts out a decent amount of heat. When it was just laying on a chair or sofa, it didn't seem warm at all when I felt it with my hands but once I put this blanket over my body, it's definitely warm. I had to turn it from high to medium for my own comfort. The blanket is a thin-medium weight material and you can feel the wiring if you use your hands, but once it's laying over your body, it's not noticeable. I like this throw for our Michigan winter nights.
Two electrical outlets are needed because there are 2 plugin. One for each controller. This is advertised and shows one but two comes with it which is VERY INCONVENIENT. We were desperate this winter for one, will not use next year. I've been buying blankets for over 10 years and never encountered this before.
While this Throw seems a tad warmer than a Fleece-Throw without heating elements, the Biddeford Blankets Comfort Knit Fleece Heated Electric Throw Blanket, 62 x 50 is not a Product I would recommend. First of, the Fleece is quite thin and you can feel the electric wires that are inside. Second, the Heat is not evenly distributed. One side of the Throw the wires barely warm up at all and in the middle there was a small spot almost too hot, because the Fleece is so thin and the other end was pretty much cold. And because the Fleece is on the thinner side, the Throw is not exactly very comfortable either. Cannot recommend.
After a couple of weeks of use, the Biddeford Comfort Knit Fleece Heated Electric Throw Blanket is clearly malfunctioning, if not permanently nonfunctioning. Even after being placed in its "High" heat setting for hours over the past few days, there was no discernible warmth in any part of the blanket. After placing it in other of its settings, considerable warmth developed for a short time in, at best, only part of the blanket. Subsequent attempts have resulted in little, if any, warmth anywhere in the blanket. This reflects a deterioration of the blanket's already erratic performance since I obtained it. From the start, the blanket was not uniformly warm -- certain parts warmed to the selected setting, while other parts were significantly less warm or not warm at all. Whether this defective performance is due to a problem with this particular blanket or all of them is uncertain. The blanket itself is so lightweight that, without any consistent and uniform electric heating, it would not provide much warmth. Furthermore, because its dimensions are 62 inches by 50 inches, it provides adequate coverage for someone sitting down, but it would be generally inadequate for someone lying down, particularly because its lightweight construction makes it easy to slip out of position. Thus, this blanket has been of no reliable use.
