I just discovered these today at my local Wal-Mart. I was sitting in a motorized wheelchair in the checkout line which put my eyes right where they'd see these eggs. For $1.07 plus tax, I got two pickled eggs in a plastic vacuum-pack pouch. That's 55 cents per egg here in South Carolina. I'm no expert, but I bet there is one difference between these and the pickled eggs that come in glass jars. The ones in the jars are still suspended in pickling brine, and are still getting soused (pickled, sorry for the joke). In spite of this, I'm glad I got them. I like the convenience of opening a packet and enjoying two eggs. THe pouch tells us to call them for the nutritional information. There's not enough space on the pouch to include it. Wal-Mart should take down the other page for this Pickled Product. One says they are out of stock everywhere. This page shows they are in stock at all my favorite Wal-Marts. I recommend these eggs to my family and my friends. I'm sure that many of you will enjoy them also.
such a beautifully red and delightful treat. Would 100% recommend to anyone who has high class/taste. Perfect gift for loved ones on Christmas/Valentines day.
Similar to a northcountry type we make
I bought one pack on Walmart.com to try it. It was great and very convenient. Went back to Walmart.com to order several more and it was sold out!!! I am trying to find the 2-pack at other stores and they are sold out. So if you see them grab them while you can.
They're average, nothing to brag about.
First, the listing says 12 count. You only get 2. They are the size of quail eggs and one of our 2 was smashed. The flavor is good and sour(dill). Some we have tried are sweet (Yuck), I ordered these as a test to see if we would get 12 for that price (I was skeptical and correct), in addition, to verifying the flavor (that was good).. If you want a sour egg with a good flavor and don't mind them being very small, these have a good flavor. Just do not think you are going to get 12. You will get 2 in the same package.
the description reads 12 count. that is wrong! it comes as a 1 pack of 2 eggs.
Don't be fooled by the picture. You only get two tiny eggs not 12 pkgs.
If I could give it a -10 I would. I bought the $10 jar and they were hard, over cooked and soaked in what taste like pure vinegar with red die. save your money make them yourself, much cheaper and will taste much better!
WORST TASTING THING I HAVE EVER TRIED. I BITE INTO IT AND COULDN'T EVEN CHEW IT UP.I OPENED THE DOOR AND SPIT IT OUT ONTO THE ROAD. MY SON TOOK A BITE AND SPIT HIS OUT OF THE WINDOW. I WAS TRYING IT FOR EMERGENCY FOOD FOR HIKING. I DON'T THINK I WOULD EAT ANOTHER ONE REGARDLESS OF THE SITUATION.
