Eggs can be hard to pickle because if the boiling process isn't stopped exactly correctly, they turn out rubbery and hard to even bite into. And the taste is bad. This is the first time I've eaten Big John's, and the taste and texture is exactly right. I realize a lot of people see eggs as only a breakfast food, but I almost prefer to eat them in the early afternoon. To each his own!
Have purchased this NOW twice, And I'm OBSESSED! Just the right amount of flavor, Nothing over powering.. Eggs are COOKED PERFECTLY! And makes an amazinnnnng snack and a GREAT PRICE. Great for Breakfast, Lunch, Snack TIME! Fluffiness of the yolk is perfect( more hard boiled then fluffy how ever), Amazing for all recipes that need a hard boiled egg with EXTRA FLAVOR! Great Source Of Protein, Beyond stoked I tried these randomly and now they are one of my most fave things to snack on.
My daughter loves pickled eggs we come from Washington DC with they sell these at the ice cream truck and they sell them also by the bulk at a place that services ice cream trucks and unfortunately here in Virginia there are no pickle eggs ordering from Walmart has been a lifesaver for my family we eat pickle eggs with our sunflower seeds. Sometimes we eat them plain and sometimes we eat them with hot sausages. We are a pickled family. This is the best buy. I have gotten from any establishment and if you like pickled eggs you should get big John's pickled eggs. The packaging was great never burst always comes fresh. There is a great Consistency. The Yolks are always full.
as of right now I'm shooting 50/50 on getting them cuz the first one I ordered got damaged in the mail so I ordered another one and it came perfectly so I'll see how this next one I just ordered today is going but yes I as of now it's a 50/50 crop shop but Walmart's awesome about giving refunds on it that's why I love Walmart
Me and my husband did not expect these to taste as amazing as they did!! We highly recommend this product!!!
This rating is based on other customer reviews. I can't rate the item myself since the order was cancelled due to OUT OF STOCK... and if 'out of stock', they're probably good.
waaay too vinegery and dry although they are tinted red, there isn't even a hint of redbeet taste. Possibly overwhelmed by the excessive vinegar.
Unfortunately, the item NEVER arrived! It's weird that the item broke once it was in my town! NEVER got a refund back either! Also, my first delivery from Walmart %26 they sucked on it!!! This would be a 0 star rating, but no option for that!!!
If you don't mind straight vinegar tasting eggs, these are for you. I prefer a sweeter pickled egg. They weren't even red all the way through. just the outside was red, the inside was white. I couldn't finish one and ended up tossing the whole container.
Don't do it! I don't understand how they taste this bad. It's like someone took really spicy mustard, spread it on dirt, laid it out in the hot sun for a few hours, then fed it to me.
