Big John's Ready to Eat Red Hots Pickled Sausage 32oz Jar

Big John's Pickled Sausages are so good! I remember growing up eating hot mamas - well these seem so much better to me! You still get the nostalgic feeling and taste all you need is a few crackers with it and all the memories come back!! haha! These are actually great to keep on hand for a snack. You do not have to refrigerate these after opening so they are shelf stable also. Some individuals say they do not have much flavor to them, my father has actually added some extra Tabasco Sauce to his jar to give a little boost or a little red pepper flakes. But a personaly do not think it needs anything! Also when the jar is empty add some eggs to it and make pickled eggs with the juice (just make sure you keep the pickled eggs in the refrigerator)! Yum!

I am really pleased with the quality of these pickled sausages. I buy them every month to use in my favorite recipes or snack on strait out of the jar. I bought some for the neighbors and they enjoyed them , too. They are mild and tangy.

Both jars were wrapped in plastic bags and placed inside a larger plastic bag. However, there was NOTHING INSIDE the box to prevent them was moving around and BOTH Jars had broken lids and the liquid was EVERYWHERE inside the larger bag and some even got outside that bag and on the shipping box! Was able to get a full refund. Hopefully my local store will have them in stock so I can have them delivered!! Maybe I can rate the taste of them next time since I discarded them! :-(

Flavor was good. The sausage was not my favorite from this company. The Sausages we not nearly as good as their other Sausages. I didn't notice any hot spices and the texture of the meat wasnt my favorite either. They did have a little what I would call as white grease in the jar. Iwas ok with that because it is a sausage. I placed them in the other jar of Pickled Sausages from the same company. after a few days, the flavor was a lot better.

These are not sausages at all, they are hot dogs. Absolutely disgusting, its like overcooked chicken hot dogs pickled but not completely soaked thru, the center is dry but it wouldn't help them. I intended to bring them to a store for a refund but im disabled and didn't find anyone to return them for me in time.

Before buying this product look at the reviews I got my order and it was spoiled and not even the color whoever shipped this product and knew it was spoiled is crazy cs who would eat something that looks like this . That’s very out of place to ship something that’s spoiled knowing the product is spoiled Walmart needs to remove the product if everyone is having the same problem with this product and it’s disgusting I was very mad and disappointed.

The coloring is faded, looking at the jar the sausages looked expired and inedible. Will not be opening this jar feeling disappointed and cheated because I’ve eaten these since a teenager and I’ve never experienced a jar of pickled sausages to looked this distasteful.

DISGUSTING! I THOUGHT THESE WOULD BE A CHEAPER VERSION OF REESE'S BIG DADDY'S BUT NOT EVEN CLOSE. THE TASTE LIKE PICKLED OSCAR MYER HOTDOGS SOAKED IN RED DYE. I WOULD NOT SUGGEST.

I have complained before. The sausages were definitely not edible. The box came off the truck already leaking. Opened the box the lid was so loose a lot of the brine leaked into a plastic bag it was tied in. The plastic bag was also leaking into the box. Luckily the other two items packaging kept them safe. DDefinitely

These sausages taste horrible; I gave one to my son and he hated it. I also ate one and did not like the taste either. I guess I will pawn them off on my neighbor. He will eat anything with a couple of beers in him. I used to buy the small Penrose brand, and they tasted great with saltine crackers, but these are plumb nasty. That is about all there is to say about these things. Thank you again Walmart for the super-fast shipping and the care you took with my items.
