This is great bread and for the price its even better. You may not know it but Bimbo is the same as Sara Lee just in a different wrapper. Both manufactured in same place just one loaf gets Sara Lee %26 other gets Bimbo wrapped. Tastes same priced way different. I love it and it runs out all the time so others must know too!
Bimbo > Wonderbread My son always wants us to buy this one now for his sandwiches, for grilled cheese or toast in the morning he doesn't care, but if we use another bread (wonderbread, GV, or other store) for a PB%26J or lunch meat sandwich, he will not finish in one sitting.
Bimbo bread freezes very well and when thawed still is soft and tasty.. I usually buy 4 breads at one time and use one and freeze the rest...Sometimes I can keep the frozen ones in the freezer three weeks and Bimbo bread still comes out soft when defrosted...
This was the first time I had seen this bread available at Walmart--- actually the first time I'd ever seen it PERIOD. It is *SO* much better than the Great Value white bread!!!! The brand-name white breads are so expensive, so I usually just settle for the GV brand. When I saw this, I decided to try it; I mean, I knew it couldn't be any WORSE. Let me just say that I was EXTREMELY pleasantly surprised!!!!!
We changed to this product because the great value white bread has a obvious downturn in quality. As are so many of the equate brands in Walmart brand products still searching for our new favorite bread. This may not be the best one. Still looking, but it sure beats the great value white bread!
I was a bread line supervisor at one of the Kroger bakeries that made this product around 2010 and I can say the quality has gone down. I know it's a value bread product and not that expensive but it is dry and falls apart. This is not my first loaf of Bimbo round top white. It will do in a pinch but there are other better value bread brands available.
Im very disappointed in the product, and the shopper. the bread is VERY hard on the bottom, as if it were sitting on the shelf for months! I got this product before and it was great, so i know it isn't the product itself, it has to be old, even though the ecperation date says November 16. I don't know if it maybe has a small hole somewhere, or if it was sat in heat, but it's very hard and inedible. I did not open it, so I did not taste it but I'm sure by the state of it, it isn't tasty.
The last 6 months of buying this Bimbo bread has been discouraging... we've been receiving older, hardened bread, darker in top color, as if left in oven 2 long ..this has been out go 2 bread for last 4-5 years... because it was soft, fluffy %26 delicious!!! But the quality(as most products do, gather customers- then decline in taste while increasing the price) has not been same from what it was originally at...the knock off brand had now been much better-IMO
My review is not related to the item quality, BUT, to the way the item was placed in the ground. Here is a self explanatory image from the delivery person, and one that I, myself, took.
Eat the bread, it's so squash. He sat my soda pop on top of it in the back of his car and a couple other things guy was so rude.It wasn't funny, told me just to complain to you guys. And you guys would give me free stuff, didn't care about the way he treated my stuff.I don't want this deliver again
