Runs true to size, but you can also wear one size smaller or larger due to fact that there is about 6 inches of elastic, (not visible unless looking for it), on the back of the waist. I am female, but wear these men's shorts because they are great. I am 5'2”, weight ranges from 132-145 lbs. I am wearing size 34- 38, based on availability. I prefer size 36 so the stretch part isn't used, just a personal preference. I don't like very short or close fitting shorts. Size 36 is often not available in the color I want, but I can purchase a size 34 or 38, and they still fit well. (If you check the listed size dimensions, when ordering, it will tell you what the waist size range is, depending on whether elastic is ‘at rest', or being utilized. These dimensions are accurate. The waist size range for any given size is about 6-7”, again, depending on whether the elastic is at rest, or is being utilized. This allows for wearing a size larger or smaller than usual.) In my size/weight, if I should wear a 34” waist, but it might use the elastic stretch a bit, so I buy size 36 when available. Just my preference. (I don't care for elastic waistbands, These are fine though because elastic not really visible.) Front has zipper and button. No elastic in front. Has belt loops. I wear with or without belt and they look good and fit well. Material dries quickly, even while wearing, such as wearing while sailing, after beach/pool, or any activity where you might get them wet, (watering the lawn, lol), No special care required. Most spills come off with just plain water on a cloth. They wash easily in machine, dry in dryer without shrinkage. They do not require ironing, and pack easily for travel. Love the pockets, they are not over done. Love the material as it is light weight but not see-thru, even when wet. (Some of the cotton material cargo shorts are very thick, and heavy, especially when wet, and do not dry while wearing.) Also, the cotton cargo shorts tend to be much longer, all the way to my knees. These fit about 4” above my knee, so not too long or too short. These are literally perfect. I own 6 pair in different colors. I have owned one pair for several years and they still look new.

My husband wears these as his work shorts and they last for years! He has pairs that are over 4 years old and they're thinning out, but they're still great quality! They are true to size and slowly stretch after years of washing (they get worn every day and washed once, sometimes twice a week.) But he says they are extremely comfortable and very durable.

These are the best shorts. They do not stain and wash and wear perfectly. My husband only wears these and he has some that are 10 years old. It's amazing how well they have lasted through so many washes. They also are dri-fit as advertised.

Best shorts but seem to only be available in Yulee FL for purchase. These need to be nationally available.

These shorts are so perfect-lots of pockets, great elastic waist and look great on! They come out of the wash and dryer looking just like new!

I like these shorts do the factory lightweight and have plenty of pockets with my kind of job need all those pockets everyday for work.

While these are considered "Men's" shorts,I am a woman that wears Bimini Bay shorts exclusively. Living in SWFL, these shorts are cool in the HOT sun and dry quickly when wet. Pull them fresh from dryer to eliminate ironing. I have worn these shorts for years and will continue to wear them in the future. I tried to get Bimini Bay to make them in a women's version (Bimini Bay makes women's but I don't like them as well as these) but they felt there was no market. (I can't be the ONLY female).

I Love these shorts so much, they are my daily wear, and have been for years. Light weight. Dry quickly. I am a woman that wears these men's shorts. I have reached out to Bimini Bay to request they make a women's version. They replied that the market is not there and they do make a women's version (tried them. DO NOT LIKE THEM) I will continue to wear these Bimini Bay shorts daily as they are PERFECT for SW FL living.

Nice shorts. Like the fit and material so much, we bought 3 pairs a few weeks ago but each pair have holes at seams in front pockets. Poorly constructed/sewn.
