In the past I would have to drain 5000 gallons of water and refill to lower CYA. This product works much better with less time involved. Highly recommended.
Cyanuric acid was reduced with one application in 30000 gallon pool.
Good quality
My CYA has been high for the past 2 years and even with drain and fills, I was unable to make a dent in the levels. I put one bag in and then a week later put in another bag in my pool. After two weeks, the level of CYA was cut down by half! It literally when from 109 to 46. Definitely recommend. Please note you need to be extremely patient but it does work!
Cyanuric acid levels in my pool have been consistently high throughout the season, with the only remedy advised being to drain, or at least drastically lower the water level, then refill. This product did the job for much less fuss and cost in water and worry. Not even the pool supply store was aware of it.
Put an 8 ounce packet in my 22k gallon pol that was at 141ppm cya this past Saturday 13th. Had water tested a local pool store on 16th and have a cya reading of 101ppm. I added another 8 ounce packet yesterday, my end goal is 60ppm on this cya effort. This is a salt pool and for the past week salt system is off and I'm adding 1 gallon of liquid chlorine each day, diluted in 5 gallons of water. Have not added water and no rain so I'm sure the enzymes are doing the trick. Would recommend.
I like what I read about the product, and its usage. I will use it to see if it will really help neutralizing or reducing cyanuric acid in swimming pools without wasting a lot of water.
The product was very slow to work in my pool: 8000 gallon. Dumped in 1 bag - nothing. Dumped in a second bag a week later - nothing. 3 weeks later acid dropped to 50 from 125. Very strange! Acid is back up close to 100 so looking for something better.
Must follow the instructions carefully because it takes time and tight control of chlorine level to work properly. Too much CA ties up free chlorine.
1 package is suppose to lower the CA in our 25,000 gallon pool. It was 150. We added 1 package with 0 results. Added a second package and the cynuratic acid actually went up to 165. This stuff does not work. I am going to try to get my money back so we'll see if they are willing to do that.
