In the past I would have to drain 5000 gallons of water and refill to lower CYA. This product works much better with less time involved. Highly recommended.
Put an 8 ounce packet in my 22k gallon pol that was at 141ppm cya this past Saturday 13th. Had water tested a local pool store on 16th and have a cya reading of 101ppm. I added another 8 ounce packet yesterday, my end goal is 60ppm on this cya effort. This is a salt pool and for the past week salt system is off and I'm adding 1 gallon of liquid chlorine each day, diluted in 5 gallons of water. Have not added water and no rain so I'm sure the enzymes are doing the trick. Would recommend.
The cyanuric was at 105, legal limit for our membership pool is 100. Normally we would drain 25,000 gallons out which is one third of the pool. The pool would be closed for a week. No real down time with this reducer it was great. Saved work and a bigger water bill. Got the pool down to approximately 85 ppm.
Cyanuric acid was reduced with one application in 30000 gallon pool.
I used 1/2 of the bag and it brought the stabilizer level down to correct levels in our 24,000 gallon pool… Great product, and as always, Doheneys is our go to one stop provider for all of our pool needs!
Pool water is now great.
Purchased 2 8 oz bags. Used over the course of 8 weeks with no change. Purchased a 16 oz bag and so far over the course of 15 days, no change in the Cyanuric acid.
This product did nothing to decrease the cyanuric acid in my pool. I ended up emptying pool 70% and using a super shock that does not contain stabilizer. Do not waste your money on this product.
I followed the directions as stated. No improvement in the cyanuric acid levels.
I've conducted a controlled test with an 8 oz of bioactive CYA reducer in a 5 gallon bucket. After several hours and days there was no change in CYA. Free chlorine level 2 ppm. I've also used it in the pool with Zero Effect. I've purchased 4 pouches, what a waste of money.
