I take vitamin D3 daily per doctor's instructions. This vitamin is 5,000 which should probably only be taken by doctor's orders and would be beneficial in the winter time when we don't spend as much time outdoors thereby lacking in this vitamin. These vitamins are in a capsule form, do not smell, and appear to be well quality vitamins. I especially like the fact that they're made in the USA !!!
The vitamin D-3 is a good product i was having trouble with my bones and i just had lab work done and it seems to be helping i have been in pain but i started taking the vitamin D-3 and it's so much better i haven't been taking them long but so far i love them
I live on the beach in Florida, so I get plenty of Vitamin D from the sun during the warm months. However, when it gets bone chilling cold here (anything less that 60 degrees), I want to take a Vitamin D supplement. It helps your body absorb calcium and phosphorus. I definitely want my bone density to be at its best as I get older. Vitamin D is confusing. This particular Vitamin D supplement is considered D3 which means that it is derived from animal sources versus Vitamin D2 which is derived from plant sources. Furthermore, the Bio-Tech Pharmacal Vitamin D3 is Cholecalciferol, which is what our bodies make when our skin is exposed to the sun. So that sounds natural to me. Then Vitamin D3 comes in various doses from 400 IU to 5000 IU in this product. So internet research states the 400 IU daily is good for babies up to 12 months old. From 1 to 70 years old, 600 IU daily is recommended and after 70, 800 IU daily is good. So the Bio-Tech Pharmacal Vitamin D3-5 Capsules are 5000 IU and the bottle states that is 1250% of your daily value. I take after meals for best absorption. These are a powder filled capsule, but Vitamin D also comes in gummy bears, soft gel and super high potency disks. These may be overkill for me, but I hope to never have bone density issues or the rickets.
This is a fantastic product! I was so delighted when I received a bottle of Bio Tech D3-5 to try. I love these capsules! They are small and so easy to swallow. My husband and I both started making it a part of our daily regiment. I'm a senior, well into my 50's, and I take pride in taking care of my body. Last year after a bone scan, it showed I had Osteo-pena which means my bones weaker than normal but not so far gone that they will break easily. I was so scared and worried. I started a daily regiment hitting the pool for exercise and doing laps. I also really focused on our diet with more healthy eating and taking calcium and D-3 dietary supplements. After a few weeks I can say that we both noticed an improvement in our general muscle tone. I get regular blood tests every 3 months for an auto immune disease, and I was so happy my levels are were good, and my vitamin D level was raised. Yay! I know in my heart that if I keep up with this healthy lifestyle, it won't go any further, leading into osteoporosis.
I'm taking BioTech Vitamin D3 5000 IU per doctor's orders and was thrilled to find out Walmart carried it at a great price. This is an excellent product.
Been taking these for years, always keeps my D3 levels up. Prefer the capsules to the gel tabs because they don't melt.
The supplement arrived quickly, priced comparably, and is exactly what was needed.
Our bodies need plenty of this element and the price of it at WalMart is great!
Great source for D-3! Worth the price.
