I love it. Hopefully it lasts a long time
It shows temperature and humidity indoors, outdoors, in my chicken coop and in my pump house. Makes my life so much easier and give me peace of mind. The value is phenomenal. I would gladly pay 10 times more. I have had it for over two years and it worked flawlessly until a crow stole one of the sensors, so I just purchased another set as the sensors aren't sold separately. Attached it better this time. Highly recommend.
Bought this for monitoring our Freezers. even with one freezer in our Garage these sensors could usually maintain a connection, only occasionally getting disconnected. I also placed two sensors in vacuum sealed bags to ensure they wouldn't get frost inside them from warm air entering the freezers when doors are opened. One I put in a plastic bottle with a snap on lid, anything to keep them dry.
Received as predicted without hassle. 3 sensors and home unit required 8 batteries not included but connected fairly simply. In operation now for a week and so far everything seems good and accurate, even the one in the greenhouse 50' from the house. Appreciate that there is a button to activate a backlight for easier viewing.
I had the older model of this device and it had much better clarity when viewing the screen. The new version is hard to see and one must be at the right height to see the screen. Too bad as the last one was better. The newer model uses two AAA in the screen device while the last one used 3 AA so batteries may not last as long either.
We bought this recently and are pleased with it. The only thing I would be happier with is if it was easier to read the temperatures. Like a white background with black numbers or a back light that just stayed on. The light goes on when you press the button on the back but it doesn't stay on. So a little hard to read.
Not using it quite as intended. I put the remote sensors in a refrigerator (freezer and fridge part) and the 3rd remote in the freezer. Now I can monitor the temperatures easily. When I first received the unit, I stuffed batteries in all three remotes and placed them on the table besides each other. The numbers appear to be highly filtered and it took a while to get a stable reading. The numbers were within about 2 degrees C of each other, which is acceptable in this price range (and about par with other digital thermometers). I'd buy a set again. In fact I bought a second set for use on the boat refrigerator.
Using these to monitor three glass door freezer temps and they're working great. I'm using energizer lithium batteries and would recommend that to someone considering this for the same purpose.
[Employee of walmartcanada] It's a great product, however, not without some flaws. There should be an illuminated screen so it could be seen in the darker hours. The screen has to be looked at a certain angle or the numbers appear to be faded
Cheap. But need to connect the internal antenna wire to the add-on external telescopic antenna in order to receive the farther range. Also remove all LED on the remote transmitters in order to extend the batteries power
