I have a covered patio where I feed my dogs. For the last 2 years a couple of doves have decided that the dog food is for them! Now, my dogs don't mind sharing, but I do. The doves leave dove poop everywhere! So, after several attempts to keep the birds out with shade material (I live in Lake Havasu City, AZ) the winds would rip them apart. So, the bird netting has been up for about two weeks and the doves can't figure out (yet) how to get through the netting. So far, so good. The wind blows through the netting, but the netting still blows around. No damage to netting. I am hoping that this will do the trick. One note: After you unwind the netting, it is doubled over so you have to unfold to get to 8 feet. However, you could unfold again and get to 16 feet. So, since I am not at the end of the roll I don't know if the roll is 50' long by 16'. Time will tell.

This netting works well to keep birds out...but it is very difficult to work with and very flimsy. Also impossible to save and reuse...still looking for a better product that is stiffer and reusable from year to year...
