Birds Choice Rocky Mountain Yard or Garden On-Ground Bird Bath with Dripper, Natural

I bought this bird bath because I needed one that would be stable enough, on the ground, for the squirrels in my yard to drink from it and not tip it over. There is a nearby pond the birds frequent, but it's in the open and a danger to the squirrels because of the hawks in the area. I find little paw prints between the tree and the bird bath. It is perfect for what I wanted!

From past experience with traditional bird baths, it takes a good long while for birds to get comfortable with them, use them, etc. Not so with this one. Birds were using it within hours of having set it up, which was quite simple to do. I've had it less than a week, but I've observed many little birds taking drinks after feeding, a few of them splashing in it, and several larger birds taking lengthy, splashy baths in it. It's a real joy for me. The drip action really does seem to attract the birds. I even saw a robin get directly under the drip. Birds easily perch on the wide rocky rim and seem very comfortable being low to the ground as opposed to high up on a pedestal bath. Maintenance is so easy -- I don't have to pick it up and empty it out but just give it a good strong hosing each morning which easily rinses out debris and old water. Then I turn on the copper faucet, refill, set the drip speed and I'm done. I am thrilled with this purchase and would definitely buy another one down the road.

I put this in the front yard....and the Quail and lizards love it. This is a good bird bath for the birds that are more ""ground"" type...that can't...or don't fly very well. I want to get one for the back yard also.

Just wish the large amount of raised center bottom was mentioned in your description. Now I'll have to get a different water heater fo winter as rhe one I have will not fit.

First day I put the birdbath out within 30 minutes the birds was already on it. Big and small birds drinks and bathe everyday. Really like it, nice size

Very well made and well liked by the birds. The birdbath is shallow and has a rough texture so the birds can grip it. So the design is great. My only complaint is with the plastic parts. The 1/4” to faucet fitting wouldn't screw onto the faucet such that it wouldn't leak. The double split faucet adapter leaked also, and the inline 1/4” valve leaks also. No trouble with the 1/4” plastic line though.

Water is at a premium here in Arizona. The birds love this style of birdbath. I had a Cooper's Hawk that would stand in it for 20 to 30 minutes at a time, then bathe. I use it as the third tier (bottom) of three birdbaths so the water drips from one to another. Works great at giving the birds their choice of where to drink and bathe.

Great little bird bath, heavy enough to be stable but not too heavy to lift. Wish it were a bit deeper

This is a nice birdbath for all size birds however I bought it hoping I could keep it out all winter (Ohio) but it cracked and chipped so it isn't one to leave out all year. I do not have the dripper attached just the plain birdbath.

The birdbath is very heavy and sturdy however it looks much more unnatural than it appears in the picture. There is no color variation and the shadows in the photo are misleading. I had considered painting it with a marine paint to make it more natural looking but found that painting it would be seriously complicated. I'm going to return it.
