I bought this for my rabbit she is a Netherland dwarf, I thought the fountain might of been a little too tall for her but it's perfect. The fountain is really quiet occasionally I can here the waterfall. I recommend for bunny owners.
This unit is so quiet compared to my other water fountain. It took a while for the cats to acclimate to it and for all but one (she prefers a bowl of water) to be comfortable drinking. My last fountain was easy to take apart to clean, but this has a learning curve when it comes to cleaning the filter. Otherwise it's a winner.
We purchased this to replace one of our 3 metal water fountains. We have found that it indeed does not get the slime build-up like the metal ones do. The filters last longer and the water remains cleaner longer. After the first 2 weeks, we wiped & rinsed the unit, as well as the filters, reassembled it and filled with fresh water. It's still going great after 3 weeks and the cats prefer it to the metal fountains.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with the HydrateWell Automatic Cat Water Fountain. I have two cats with very different personalities, so I was excited to see how they would respond to this fountain. Overall, I have been extremely happy with it and would definitely recommend it to other cat owners. The fountain was incredibly easy to set up, and one of the first things I noticed was how quiet it is. The wireless motor operates almost silently, which is nice because it doesn't add any extra noise to our home. The only thing I can hear is the water spouting once it's running out of water. I really appreciate the built-in light indicator that changes color when the water level gets low. It's an intuitive feature that makes it easy to know when it's time to refill the fountain without constantly checking it. Both of my cats enjoy drinking from it. My more adventurous cat, Miso pictured here, started using it right away, while my more reserved cat Sushi took a couple of days to warm up to it. I think he appreciated that the water movement is gentle rather than forceful, and now both cats use it regularly. Compared to a traditional water bowl and other fountains I've owned, this one seems to keep the water fresher, and I feel much more confident that they're drinking clean, filtered water. Cleaning and maintenance have also been straightforward. The fountain has stayed noticeably cleaner than a regular water bowl, and I haven't had to deal with as much buildup or slime between cleanings, which has been a big plus. My only minor complaint is when refilling the fountain. If you're in a hurry and pour water directly into the drinking area too quickly, it can overflow before the water has time to filter down into the reservoir. It's easy to avoid once you know, but it did take a little getting used to. Overall, this is easily the best cat water fountain I've owned. It's quiet, easy to maintain, thoughtfully designed, and my cats both love it. Aside from the small learning curve when refilling, I have no complaints. I would absolutely recommend it to other pet owners!
My three little dogs like it. We've used it for 2 weeks now and this weekend will be the first cleaning. I am interested to see if this fountain gets as slimy as my previous one.
I originally bought the automatic water fountain for my one cat that would only drink from the kitchen or bathroom faucet. I was pleasantly surprised to see her take to the fountain so quickly! My other three cats love it as well!
Bissell HydrateWell is just what our cats wanted! The love the streaming flow of water! Keeps things moving which prevents stagnant water as well!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been really happy with the HydrateWell Automatic Cat Water Fountain. It's a big upgrade from the regular water bowl I was using since the water is constantly moving and filtered instead of sitting stagnant. My cat took to it right away. I've cleaned the water bowl out a few times now and the water stays pretty clean. The filter gets pretty dirty, but I guess that's a good sign it's doing its job. Overall though, maintenance on the fountain is pretty easy. The motor is generally very quiet, though I do notice a soft bubbling sound every now and then. It honestly feels more like gentle background white noise than anything annoying, almost like having a tiny stream inside the house. It isn't completely silent, which is worth mentioning if that is a priority, but otherwise it stays pretty quiet and is never loud. My only real downside is that replacement filters can be a little difficult to find. Besides that, this has been a great fountain, and my cat and I have been very happy with it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat has always been obsessed with running water and would rather drink from a dripping faucet than a regular bowl, so the CleanWell has quickly become her new favorite. I love that it continuously circulates the water preventing bacteria and slimy buildup, so I know she's always drinking fresh water. It's easy to keep clean, low maintenance, and my cats new favorite way to drink water.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cat fountain worked pretty well for our cat. She took to it quickly because we have used other similar fountains before but I can't say that it encouraged her to drink more frequently. It was easy to set up and refill. I still struggled with making a mess when I unplugged it to go refill it which was frustrating. Once I got it to the sink, it was easy to clean and refill. I did really like the anti-slime tech because it wasn't as gross to clean as fountains we have had in the past. The motor noise wasn't too terribly noisy but it wasn't silent either. This is a pretty good cat fountain especially compared to ones we have used in the past.
