Black Box Chardonnay White Wine, 3 L Box

I lived in Germany for four years and traveled throughout Europe. One thing I learned at wine tasting in Germany. It was amazing everyone at the wine fest had their own bottle of wine. I enjoy Chardonnay and the smoothness of this wine in particular it's my favorite I always like to purchase this one. Excellent taste affordable. I ordered it every week. Thank you.

Good every day reasonably priced Chardonnay.

This is about four dollars cheaper than a liquor or wine store price

Will buy again but its hit or miss on taste. Good value.

It's fine when you want to drink cheaper wine

Not as good as usual. Could tell right away that the color was off - much darker. Taste was worse. Maybe improper storage? It ended up going down the drain.

I hate to leave a 1 star review on a product I typically enjoy, but the 1 star is about Walmart, not Black Box wine. Black Box says that their unopened boxes are designed to keep the wine fresh for typically up to a year from the packaging date. In reality, it's 6-12 months depending on how well it has been stored. The box of Black Box Chardonnay I bought today (curbside pickup) was boxed on March 26, 2025. Almost 17 months old and likely not stored in ideal conditions for those 17 months. If Walmart is going to refuse to allow returns, refunds or exchanges on the products they sell, then they need to not sell expired products. The plastic bladder inside boxed wine is slightly porous and allows microscopic amounts of air to pass through over time. Over a year and, taste wise, it's undrinkable. I should have checked the date before leaving. Walmart typically doesn't sell me expired wine, so I didn't think to. Lesson learned.

Very "flat tasting" and flavorless. Was hoping for something with a little taste.
