Old school quality
This is a big toaster, Be sure to have the counter space. It is well built and has all the controls, logically placed, easy to understand. A little pricey, but worth it. Does toast perfectly.

Toaster
I LOVE this toaster! This is the FIRST toaster I have ever had that actually toasts the bread on BOTH sides evenly.....I'd highly recommend it. Nice big slots that take bagels and larger pieces of bread easily as well.

Toast result varies from side to side.
The toaster looks and feels great. Our previous toaster stopped heating on one side so am very tuned to this problem. I watched right out of the gate and it looks like the outside elements get red hot while the inside ones less so. My first toast, set at 4, was definitely darker on the outside. The inside was toasted, just not as much. This was disappointing considering my previous experience. Is this normal? The elements are differently arrayed from outside to inside. Just trying to confirm if something is wrong or not. Have not touched the bagel button.
