Great Iron

yesishopwalmart June 13, 2009

I purchased this iron for my mom about 3 weeks ago. She is a seamstress and has to iron garments all day. She loves it. The iron steams on all temperatures and it also has a steam button that shoots out a powerful burst of steam when you need it. The buttons are easy to press and not hard like most irons which eventually causes the steam or spray to stop working. She loves the digital screen and it's easy to set the perfect temperature because it tells you each level what fabric it's for. It is worth the money!

Very sturdy product

AncientSchen August 24, 2013

Found at a bargain and my first digital iron. My sole complaint is that it switches off so quickly once in one position and the steam settings do not automatically restore with reactivity. Otherwise I am pleased and enjoying its quick heat up and easy to clean base.

It died

ammojim August 21, 2013

It worked for almost a year. I bought this because of the reviews and now I am having to say it is dead. The steam button stoped working properly right away. The button would stick when you pushed it, so 1 burst of steam was all you could get. I just tried to contact customer service, via web and phone and did not have any luck. The paperwork in the box said the phone center was open from 7am to 11pm m-f. Not so according to the recording. I am back in the hunt for a great steam iron that might last a few years. ANY SUGGESTIONS!!!

WAY TOO HEAVY

fashionedbyvicki November 15, 2013

I ordered this online and when I went to pick up my purchase at the store, I was very disappointed in how extremely heavy it was. Needless to say, I returned it immediately.

Worked great for 4 months

WildEathTV March 17, 2013

I loved this iron but after 5 months it broke. Customer service at Black & Decker wanted ME TO PAY for shipping me a replacement after I spent 20 minutes on hold! They waived the fee. Come to find out this product is discontinued. Do not purchase this item

Paying for the name...terrible product

incomparable1 November 11, 2009

I have heard many individuals rave about black and decker irons and have decided to purchase one. It lasted for 5 months. I purchased another black and decker iron and it lasted 5 months again. I loved the product so much that I decided to take it to be repaired but was told that it was irreparable. Still had faith in black and decker iron and went and purchased a digital one and it failed again! I concluded that black and decker irons are terrible. It works for a while but goes bad quickly. Presently, I am searching for another brand of iron to purchase...any suggestions?

Horrible

Thisproductis December 6, 2013

Plugged this in and heated for approximately 20 seconds and then went into standby mode. Set and reset the temp controls to try and get the iron to work and it just never warmed up enough to iron anything, It also leaked badly. The swivelling cord easily snagged itself under the iron body preventing the iron from sitting properly, even toppled over once. A very, very poor product from a company that usually provides at least operating devices.

High hopes for this digital iron, BUT it died!

Budgetshopperzzzzz December 18, 2013

I thought that a Black & Decker digital iron would at least last for more than 6 months! Loved it when it worked, but one day it just would not power on. Changed outlets, pushed all the buttons, but NO, it's Dead! Of course, I can't find my receipt, and thought it would last, so I didn't keep the box, so, what am I supposed to do now????? I am truly disappointed in what Black and Decker is becoming, a throw-it-away company?

Good iron when it worked

nurseman1 October 18, 2012

I've had this iron a little over one month. I was pleased at first as it heated up quick, held alot of water and produced a good amount of steam, but on my third use the electronic temperature controls just stopped working. The LCD screen looks like some moisture got in their and that was it. Too bad! Poor design.

Great Iron My Wife Loves it however it failed!

Nick May 16, 2012

My wife will tell you that this iron is perhaps the best iron that she has ever used. She liked the setings, features and weight however it's just over 1 year old and the electronic display and power settings completely failed and the iron now does not work. I doubt we will get it fixed as it would cost more than it's worth. Very disappointed in the quality of the workmanship. Not likely to buy another one or Black & Decker!
