Black Diamond Hotforge Hybrid Quickpack

I will start by saying I've only used these a couple times. But I love them. Great draws. I heard criticism about the rope side gate being a bit stiff. Maybe I'm not as picky, but I found them to be great.

Ive used these bad boys on a few climbs in the Columbia Gorge and Mt Hood National Forest and they are everything I'd hoped for! sturdy construction makes them easy to clip and they're light as a feather. Easy to clip and easy to clean.

These are great. Light, easy to use, and my favorite color, pink (which also makes it easy to spot.)

Love these draws. While looking to upgrade for the season I was so confused why there aren't more hybrid draws on the market. Cleaning is so easy with the keylock and I love clipping wiregate so it was a great choice for me(with the added bonus of no gate flutter. They are a bit heavier so I mostly use them for projecting. The large dogbone is also super nice for cruxy sections. The pink is also undeniably the greatest draw color.

Black diamond products are all well thought out and well designed. Too many companies were more about form than they do about function. Black diamond focuses on what's important. They just make some of the best climbing gear on the market.

If James Bond were a piece of climbing gear, he'd be the Black Diamond HotForge Quickdraw — smooth, strong, and always ready to catch you when things get dicey. This thing clips like butter on a hot pan. I swear, I've had faster and cleaner clips with the HotForge than I've had ordering coffee. The wiregate on the rope side is so snappy it makes me feel like a pro, even when I'm just hangdogging two bolts up and questioning my life choices. And can we talk about the dogbone? That thing is beefy in all the right ways. Thick enough to grab when I'm doing the “strategic resting” move (read: panic grabbing), but still light enough to not make me weep over pack weight. Plus, the color-coded carabiners make it idiot-proof — which is great, because sometimes my brain leaves the chat around bolt 6. In short, the HotForge Quickdraw is the friend that never bails, never judges, and always looks good doing it. 10/10 would trust it with my life — and I do, repeatedly.

These heavy duty draws in bright pink stick out against snow and rock alike. From mittened hands clipping pickets on Denali's autobahn, to little hands as I teach my kids to sport climb, these slightly oversized ‘biners remains easy to operate and hard to lose.

Got two of these to have a nice twelve, pretty good price compared to others, like the feeling of both sides, nice stiff sling and both clippings feel good

Love the “hybrid” concept. I prefer the feel of wire gates for clipping, and the solid key gate makes removal smoother. Honestly almost a perfect sport draw and very flashy at the crag — only reason not 5 stars is I wish they were just a little lighter.

Really easy to clip, and the bright pink is also really easy to spot from the base of the climb, which is a nice touch. They are slightly heavier than competition, but it's not something you're likely to notice unless it's a really long route or you're really pushing your limits on an ambitious project
