Everything needed to apply tint to my front storm door to block the dang sun. As many have stated, directions aren't clear whether to use both packets in the bottle. I chose to use both and had excellent results so I'd say if you were wondering, that's my suggestion. Use both.
If you're buying the tint film, highly recommend this kit as the solution is already premeasured at the 'perfect' ratio to get the 'just right' tackiness between film %26 window. I found the plastic squeegee was just right to get all the bubbles out. As a result, with a little bit of patience, the film went on with surprising ease. I'd tried to mix my own solution for another project using the vinyl cling material and it was more troublesome than the film application.
It's everything you need for a window tint install and even has a cpl packets of the application fluid that you just mix with distilled water. If it just came with some extra patience it'd be even better.
Easy to use. But had a slight issue of keeping the film attatched to the window as it dried in place. had to hold in place till all the liquid and airpockets were worked out because the film still wanted to curl. if there were a piece included in the kit to do that over a large edge would be awesome. But i improvise. could use a little more product in the kit as well. Otherwise I was satisfied.
I was a little confused when I saw an empty bottle labeled fluid, with no reference to the fluid concentrate and no instructions to mix anything. At first, I thought I got a manufacturer defect, but after examining the rest of the items I found two packets of fluid concentrate that said mix with distilled or bottled water. It wasn't clear if I should mix one or both with a bottle full of water. Complete mixing instructions on the packet and bottle would eliminate this confusion. I ended up putting both packets into the bottle as I figured one bottle would be more than enough, which it was. WAY more than enough. I still don't know if this was correct, but it didn't turn out to matter because of poor tint film quality and less than ideal application conditions. I would highly recommend applying this indoors or on a very still day as wind will ruin your efforts. Squeegee, cloth and razor were good, but I already had these items. Definitely didn't need a full break-off blade for the project, but ended up keeping it. Not sure if there is anything special about the application fluid, but I imagine window cleaner or dilute dish soap would have worked just as well. Personally, I would not buy this again and wouldn't recommend it. I think that most people could buy the tools they didn't have for less than the price of the kit.
The black magic automotive window tint film applicator kit was a Waste of my money. They should never be allowed to sell that B,S again. The solution may as well be just water And the tools Are cheap pieces of junk! I am very dissatisfied with that product!!!!
order was placed for 5% tint and was delivered 20% tint and I asked her about exchanging them to 5% 10 and she just effortlessly answered saying that they don't have it available when I know they do cuz I was there earlier that day and they had a bunch of 5% tint available and I was not giving the actual film I ordered so I was given a replacement when they have both enough in the aisle to comply with the simple task but little effort in their part it was a simple mistake and could have been solved easily by just grabbing the 5% team which is right next to the same Department what it took in her minute and a half to exchange it but may no effort to make it right
Very cheaply made stuff, the water bottle leeks, and the solvent drys very quickly, not enough time to adjust the firms, have to use my own soapy water
it's cheap and peels also the solution doesn't stick good use dawn and water save your time and money. The only thing worth the money was the rubber squeegee. Also the tint is cheap buy precut tint for your vehicle.
Worst tint kit I've ever used. The squeegee doesnt work its a flimsy rubber. The blade included is trash and the applicator spray is useless overall your better off getting a kit off amazon and avoid the stress I went through.
