This is one of the best wheel cleaners by far if not the best. It's very easy to use, very self explanatory how to use. It's cost effective and very effective on how well it works. My rims are sparkling and tires are nice and shinning. I would highly recommend giving this brand a try for your self. You won't be sorry. It is one I trust.
After a long, hot summer it was time to get the vehicles ready for winter, which meant a full detail job, chrome wheels included. I have to say that the Black Magic Chrome Wheel Cleaner did an excellent job. The generous-sized 23 ounce spray bottle comes complete with a textured wipe rag and has easy to follow directions. The main active ingredient is Glycolic Acid (basically the same chemical as used in facial peels) and it got the job done quickly without any odor. Spray on dry wheels, let sit for several minutes, hose off then wipe clean to a beautiful shine. Simple and easy, would highly recommend.
This Black Magic Chrome Wheel Cleaner does an amazing job! It easily dissolves dirt, rust, and grime making the chrome shine and sparkle. I used it on my husband's old Mustang, hoping to add some life to the old dull chrome hub caps and bumpers. Not only did it remove decades of dirt, it made the chrome look almost brand new! Goodbye dullness, hello chrome! Highly recommended!
I have to say this first. I really can't rate the Black Magic Chrome Wheel Cleaner. I don't have chrome wheels. My wheels are cast aluminum. And the instructions specifically say" For Chrome Wheels only". I didn't realize it would state for chrome wheels only. So I used it on a plated chrome truck bumper. NOT what it was designed for. So I can't give it a poor rating because it didn't do a good job on my thin plated, think low cost, chrome truck bumper. So I gave it the benefit of doubt and gave it a good rating. I can't give a product a bad rating because I used it incorrectly.
I have only just tried this and my initial impression is excellent. I like how it cuts right through the schmutz so that it rinses/wipes right off. I also used it to clean a fan that had been in the window. Know how that soot-like stuff usually wants to just sit and not move? This scoots it right along. Especially good if you can't access every little cranny to "rub" on it. I haven't used too many speciality cleaners like this so don't have a ton of comparisons - I often use one product for multiple applications, but as stubborn as garden-variety schmutz (especially city schmutz) can be, I think this is well worth using.
This product made the chrome rims on my vehicle stand out. Black Magic Chrome Wheel Cleaner dissolved the dirt, brake dust, gease, and general nastiness. It improved the appearance of my chrome rims and chrome accents on my car without hazing or discoloration.
I find Black Magic chrome cleaner to be one of the easiest to use car cleaning products available. It is as simple as spray on, wait and spray off and I really like that it doesn't require a whole lot of elbow grease to look nice. I do find that when dealing with the dust that wears down the appearance of chrome here in the desert, I have to do a repeat application for good results, so I wish the product was a little thicker and could do the job in the first round, but it is still quick doing it twice. I also really like that they include a drying rag. It is a nice thoughtful touch to include something lint free to quickly dry them off and enjoy the results.
I've never used a wheel cleaner, until now. Easier than I thought. Just spray it on cool, dry wheels. Wait 2 minutes. Hose off. Wipe away remaining brake dust and grime. I had to use it twice on my wheels. So does that mean my wheels are nastier than most people's wheels? I don't know? The cloth worked well to make them shiny. Next time I will get the wheel brush first. There isn't a smell to the cleaner, unless you spray your hands, which I did. Bottom line. It does what it says. Not effortless. But it works.
The directions say to spray onto cool, dry wheels and let sit for 1-2 minutes, then hose off and wipe away dust and grime. After two rounds of spraying, sitting, hosing and wiping I did not see any significant difference. There was a small cloth included and it was needed to vigorously scrub the rims to remove brake dust and grime. The product did not dissolve oils or remove dirt without a great deal of effort. We live near the shore and get a lot of salt and rust. I had really hoped a simple spray and rinse cleaner would help, but I've had better and easier results with dish soap and a sponge.
I found there is no difference between this product vs soap and water. In fact, a grease cutting dishwashing detergent worked better for me. Product did not dissolve oily fluid or remove dust/dirt without a great deal of effort. What's worse is that it smeared causing more clean up. The directions say to leave it on for 2 minutes and hose off, but you must finish the task by wiping down what remains. However, I ended up using the cloth to vigorously remove brake grease and dust. The cloth is provided, but I needed additional rags to complete the task.
