I cleaned the air conditioner then placed mesh cover over it to keep the cotton wood fluff off the air conditioner.

Recently I replaced my outside central AC unit and I was looking for a winter cover. I found this Black Mesh Central AC cover on Walmart.com. My outdoor central AC unit is 26"x26"x27" tall, so this AC cover at 28"x28"x31" tall was a good match. The AC cover has a pull-cord at the base for securing around the base of the outdoor AC unit, but said securing method doesn't allow for securing around the power %26 refrigerant lines. So, I cut the mesh 13" up between the 2 pull-cords thereby allowing me to secure the mesh cover under the unit and the power/refrigerant lines. Note: Before making the above 13" cut, I applied black duct tape to the mesh, at the mesh seam and then cut the mesh cover between the pull-cords, with the duct tape securing the cut ends of the mesh. Final judgement will come after the above goes through an Ohio winter!

It is as expected, but was shipped internationally and took an extra week to arrive.

works well, tightener does not stay tight on string so I had to tie knots to keep it on.
